Alan Fitzpatrick makes a triumphant return to the scene-leading imprint this August. The typically bombastic three-tracker of explosive, crowd-moving techno opens with ‘Love Siren’ packed with all the power and punch required to knock over festival crowds as it systematically builds and drops, this is one for the big open air stages. ‘U Said U’ is a massively hyped track that has been the subject of huge fan-demand since it first featured on Beyer’s Drumcode Radio in January. ‘Rumours’ wraps things up in slightly more understated but non-the-less effective fashion with its drawn out, tension building intro mushrooming into a crescendo of sleazy chords and sparking melodies.

Adam Beyer’s Drumcode juggernaut attracts more fans and critical plaudits with each passing year. Holding firm on its future facing ethos, techno’s number one label presents a new volume in its acclaimed A-Sides series with 20 prime tracks to signify its 20th anniversary. 

Such is the volume of quality music Adam Beyer receives throughout the course of the year, releasing all of it would be impossible. Enter the blue chip A-Sides series: a chance for the quality-obsessive label head to issue a collection of outstanding tracks that couldn’t fit in their regular EP release schedule. 

With an eye on future talent, as much as the label’s established roster of heavy-hitters, the compilation showcases the full breadth of Drumcode’s multifaceted techno sound, equal parts inspiring and functional. 

Led by the stealth techno funk of ‘Nine of You’, Beyer’s deft collaboration with Mark Reeve, the compilation takes in exciting highlights from big guns such as Alan Fitzpatrick, Dustin Zahn, Bart Skils, Pleasurekraft, Luca Agnelli, Jay Lumen, Kaiserdisco and Gary Beck. 

The rich vein of form displayed by emerging techno talent is similarly given prime position. Rising DJ/producer Boxia makes his Drumcode debut, fresh from a well-received warm up set for the crew at the hugely successful Junction 2 festival in London, while the likes of Enrico Sangiuliano, Juan Sanchez, Ian O’Donovan and Timmo also drop fire, establishing their credentials as some of the most promising talent breaking through the ranks in 2016. 

Reinforcing the global scope of the label, artists such as The Junkies from Toronto and Layton Giordani from New York, prove techno is winning a place in the heart of the new generation of artists coming out of North America.

With a motto in their Soundcloud biography stating nothing more than 'We Are The Brave, We Do What We Want', Alan Fitzpatrick's imprint, We Are The Brave imprint clearly mean business.

Setting the levels high with their first two EPs, We Do What We Want and Friday Night Dancing, the third comes from talented UK producer, Boxia, and a ferocious sounding two-track EP titled, Colour Sequence.
We're are delighted to be premiering single, “Colour Sequence Orange”, which strikes like thunder from the very first second, but is gloriously tamed by ethereal pads and a dreamy single-note piano top-line as it develops. 

Three standout releases in three for We Are The Brave and an impressive return to form for Boxia, who, although not the most prolific of producers, pulls out the stops on each and every release — quality over quality is no bad thing. With such an assured sound being developed on each release, Boxia is going to give 2017 an absolute battering.

Cooked up with a more melodic vibe and fusing elements of house and techno, Dense & Pika’s latest outing on Drumcode offers something different compared to their previous work. There is still that vintage feel to each of the tracks with analogue sounds and arrangements born and developed from experimental studio jams. Indeed, ‘Suki’ heavily utilizes the distinct harmonic tones of the Dave Smith Prophet 8 keyboard. Lastly, Motion is another absorbing track with deep drums and meandering pads sucking you into a cavernous sound world where alien motifs and acid gurgles work your mind as much as your feet.”

Following on from the release of their stand out track Oxy on Bedrocks recent Frequenciescompilation, German brothers Monkey Safari return to the label this January to drop their Obscura EP. Owners of both Hommage, releasing material from the likes of Kölsch, Moby, Guy Gerber and more, and HallesCharles Bronson club, German duo and brothers Monkey Safari have emerged and firmly establishedthemselves as a key pairing within the worlds of house and techno. Following on from the release of their highlyanticipated album Odyssey, which will undergo a rework from a series of big name remixers in 2018, the duoreturn to John Digweeds illustrious Bedrock this January to deliver their first full EP on the label. Title track Obscura opens proceedings in emphatic fashion as the duo launch straight into the action. Drivingbasslines, scintillating synth leads and ethereal yet haunting chants all go to work to reveal a dynamic andstriking lead cut. Next up is Prex, a more reduced and stripped back affair, which sees the focus shiftedtowards organic percussion patterns and hypnotic stabs, sculpting a production seamlessly balanced in bothsuspense and energy. Closing the EP, Antilog unveils the most groove-focused production on the package as swirling synths flowamongst off kilter, eerie sonics and rich sub-tones to punctuate yet another impressive package from MonkeySafari and Bedrock.

About Fideles :
Fideles is a project born of Italian duo Daniele Aprile & Mario Roberti. Emerging in early 2010, the pair have already released a substantial body of music to date, across a number of leading imprints. With the aim of delivering a mature and complete sound, their productions have found their way to release on labels including Josh Wink’s ‘Ovum Recordings’ & Oliver Koletzki’s ‘Still vor Talent’. Fideles’s rounded production, combining a mix of melodic and interesting layers, has turned heads of leading DJs and music fans alike. It’s evident from their recent EPs and mixes that Fideles are a duo that have a lot more to give. 2017 is set to be a turning point for the Italian duo. Having already released on Innervisions and with more equally highbrow productions scheduled for later in the year, Fideles are fast becoming a rounded and familiar electronic music act.
