"Walking around and seeing turtles, flamingos, and just enjoying the tropical climate of Mexico...there's something special about that because I'm from Norway and we just had snow two weeks ago.

This is a mix of my own material, most of the songs are rearranged or edited a little bit to work better in a live set context. I usually select some old songs, some new ones, and some unreleased material, then try different things in the live mix. I don't usually share my live sets because they don't feel as exciting to me after the fact, though they do feel really great when playing live."

Joakin Eskasan is a DJ, Producer and Percussionist born in El Paso, USA and raised in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. Founder of Global Party People (DJs & Records) with the mission to keep people dancing while also promoting peace, love, unity and respect through culturally rich house and techno. In 2006 Joakin became a resident & featured percussionist at RISE Afterhours (Boston) playing with incredible artists like Craig Mitchell (Orange Factory), Chus & Ceballos (Stereo Productions), Soul Clap (Crew Love Records), Oscar de Rivera and also played with Mark Knight (Toolroom Records) at Underbar and DJ Boris (Transmit Recordings) in Boston, Elliot DeHoyos at Avalon & LOVE (NYC), Lance Jordan at Crobar (NYC), and D:Fuse & Steve Porter (Porterhouse) in Miami during WMC. In 2007 Joakin got in the studio to track his lively percussion, got his hands on the producer knobs & soon after released his first single “So Alive (I am Feeling) ft. Craig Mitchell” on Kult Records. After touring in the Dominican Republic, Monaco (Sea Lounge) and Mexico as Global Party People in 2008, and graduating from Berklee College of Music, Joakin then moved to Los Angeles, and in 2010 the EC Twins (Twin Turbo) featured him on live percussion at Supperclub, XIV and Hakkasan in Las Vegas. While based in LA Joakin met DJ & singer song-writer Sri Keshava (Baby Gopal) in 2012 and started coproducing dance tracks like “Rise Up”, “Beautiful” and “Radio Rio”. In 2014 his collaboration with Eddie Cumana, “Plastic Dreams vs Plastic Drums”, made it to Beatport’s Top 10. In 2015 Sri & Joakin partnered to take GPP & Global Party People Records to the next level.  GPP has now performed around the world including Full Moon Dance concerts in Australia, Ratha Yatra Festivals in Barcelona, Melbourne and LA, Jai Thep Festival in Thailand and Holi Festival in New Zealand.
