As Thanksgiving approaches, a lot of my friends are sharing things that they are thankful for.  I wanted to share this.  A year ago today I received a phone call From Geoff Lloyd, a presenter on Absolute Radio in London.  He was calling to talk to me about my participation in the worlds first crowd-sourced Christmas single.   A Christmas Song by Matt Berry and Everyone.  As we spoke, much to my surprise, Matt himself was added to the conversation and they informed me that I was chosen to be the lead vocalist on the single.  I was already over the moon about the phone call, but to be told that?  My first thought was "Are you kidding me?"  I was totally gobsmacked!  Out of left field!  I just wanted to be a part of the mix.  I got involved in the project because this was a creation by Matt Berry of whom I am a great admirer. Creative genius!  He paints such rich tapestries and creates brilliant and wonderful little worlds with his music, I considered myself just lucky to be thrown in at all. Eventhough everyone who sent in a submission was included,  I never thought that that would happen, lol.  I just wanted to blend into the background.   This was the first time I ever heard the song.  When it was over, I could barely comprehend what Geoff was asking me because I was just floored.  I am very grateful and proud to have been a part of this project that helped raise money for Shelter the housing and homeless charity in the UK.  http://www.shelter.org.uk/ , and I am thankful to Matt for allowing me to play a part.
