I wrote "Hold Me Jesus" after my father died from a cancerous brain tumor. God really held me in His big loving arms and carried me through one of the darkest times in my life. I wanted a song that I could share with others who also may be hurting or going through a difficult time in their life, so they would be encouraged to let God hold them too.

"Knock, Seek, Find" was a song I wrote when I was really trying to figure out what God's purpose and plan was for my life. I believe that we all have a divine destiny. We just have to trust God and seek Him, trusting that He will lead us to the place He has for planned for us.

"Walkin' on Water" is the title song to my CD "Walkin' on Water."  The song tells the story about how one of Jesus' disciples, Peter, got out of his boat in the middle of a storm and walked on the water in faith to Jesus. Sometimes, we have to get out of the comfort of our own boats, take that first step of faith and walk on water in order to get to the place that God has for us in our lives.

I wrote the lyrics to "Praises to My King" after 9/11, a time when the world as we knew it didn't feel safe anymore; but, God's word says that no matter if wars break out around us or if our enemy stands against us, we have no reason to fear because He is our light and salvation in this dark world. So, I will sing praises to my King!

The lyrics for "Let It Shine" was inspired by a song a friend of mine had written before his life ended unexpectantly and he went home to be with the Lord. We sort of co-wrote this song. I had permission from his family to re-write the song, and this was the final result.

My heart and my passion is sharing the love of Jesus Christ and encouraging others through my original lyrics. I  became a born-again Believer at the young age of 7 during an old-fashioned tent revival in a tiny town in Western Kentucky. I have been blessed to have the Lord in my life since I was a young girl, leading and guiding my footsteps along... my life’s journey. My journey, like most people, hasn’t always been easy. God never promised it would be. It has been a journey where I have experienced straying from God while being in an unhealthy dating relationship, the stigma of family mental illness and the shattering loss of my father to terminal brain cancer. I know how it feels to be a mom and have the pressure of doing everything just right. I know how it feels when your money is running out and you desperately need a job, waiting on God to open the right door in His time. God has used the dark, difficult times in my life as well as His showers of daily blessings to mold me and make me into the person I am today. He has shown me that He is all I really need and has always been faithful to me, never leaving my side. Through my original lyrics on my CD "Walkin' on Water," which reflects my life journey with God, I know God wants to use me to encourage others and draw them to a closer personal relationship with Him. My history is part of my destiny that God has planned for me. I am asking, seeking and knocking and can't wait to see what God has in store for me!
