I have no experience in audio production and the only equipment I have is a netbook with freeware software (audacity). But, being involved in the Virtual Choir as a Kickstarter backer and especially as a singer has meant so much to me that I wanted to be involved in this stage of the project in whatever way I could. 

I love the electronics in the original but was curious to see what it would sound like with just the vocals, piano and softer strings. I hope you like it!

Virtual Choir 4- Fly to Paradise (acoustic mix by Joanna Holman)

I focused my previous mix (https://soundcloud.com/joanna_h/virtual-choir-4-fly-to) on the softer, more melodic elements of the piece. I decided this time around to experiment with emphasising the drums to give the piece of more rhythmic, edgy feel. 

As with the last one, I did this on a netbook with free program Audacity.

I love Kyler's music so was very excited when I found out that not only was she releasing a new song with Tiësto, but that there would be a remix competition for the song too (see play.beatport.com/contests/tiesto-take-me/) . I only have extremely basic hardware and software so my mix is nothing particularly fancy, but I thought that putting the focus on the piano part rather than the electronics sounded cool.
