Gatex is a matchless recording, a proper piece of the new Millennium. When it first came out on Potential as part of The X EP back in 2001, it immediately crossed over the whole EDM specter. And it became even bigger after the re-release on Tiesto’s Magik Muzik the year after. It was a favorite of techno, trance and house deejays and one of the rare outstanding records that didn’t ever get successfully copied, as it is a real freak of nature. Namely, Umek’s studio at that time was very basic and he couldn’t sync in all the elements that he wanted in this tune, so he released unfinished record. Thus it was a real surprise how big it became without the essential of every big EDM tune – the bass drum. Almost a full decade later Umek returned to the Gatex blueprints, this time equipped with proper studio technology and finally completed his masterpiece in the spirit of modern times. Or to put it in the words of his friend Carl Cox: "When the original version came out – it was amazing. And still is amazing. And it should never be touched. But Umek has reworked it. And the new version is fantastic. So when I’ve heard it again I just loved it. I kind of missed it when it went away and he’s brought Gatex back into the 21st century with a fantastic mix."

Artwaq is a 22 year old DJ & producer from Heemskerk, The Netherlands. He began his journey as a DJ just over a year ago, moving onto producing his own tracks a few months later. Despite his short time in the scene, his mixes and production have created a large amount of hype around his name. His mixes are shaped mainly by tracks with dark rave sounds and a high BPM, often developing into hardcore. Taking inspiration from artists such as I Hate Models, KRTM, Manu Le malin, D.carbone and Myler, hard kicks are his specialty, which is clearly represented in this hour long mix.

It was built around several atmospheres, while keeping an industrial side. It surveys very dark and cold tones, but it also brings a feeling of freedom with a "ravy" touch.

Joanna Coelho was born in the city of Curitiba insouthern Brazil. Pretty soon, her interest in electronic
music was growing up. With the age of 17 Joanna graduated the "International
Academy of Electronic Music" (AIMEC) in Curitiba starting her journey in electronic music. In 2012
Joanna Coelho moved to The Netherlands and concluded the Electronic Music
Production Course at SAE Rotterdam. From then on, she focused not
only in her performances but also dared her first steps as a producer.
Her tracks were supported by names like: Amelie Lens, Shlomo, 999999999, Shlomo, Scot Project, DAX
J, Alex Di Stefano, N.O.B.A, Anela, Paul Cook,and other stars. Joanna has played in the most varied
countries and festivals in Portugal, Spain, Colombia,
Austria, Germany, Slovenia, Croatia, Argentina and France amongst
many others. She is working hard and knows how to evolve herself
continuously, and grow with many new challenges and projects. She
seeks to express her skills and personality through her music, bringing
strong techno vibes into the scene.
