I'm curious how you choose that spot to bring the new vocals in? I like to use a hot cue to mark the beginning and ending of vocals in all my tracks, so when I'm improving it's easier to choose just the right spot, on the spot

this is the first track that has left me wondering where you are in the score.  story wise, it's a little dark,  I want it before the elixir and not after. I wonder how it would land in the 2+ region of the mix??

This week I focused on scoring my entire music library. I probably scored about 300 songs. It was so much easier than it was when we first started.✨✨. Then in preparation for recording, I created seven smart playlists based on score number.  I performed my pre-recording ritual. And then I hit record.  

OMG this was so much fun. At first I was like a speed demon just skipping through songs just trying to fit as many as possible.   then I realized I could also try and make it sound halfway decent lol .  So then I started letting the songs play just a little bit. I stayed conscious of my time limit and I hit SCORE #4 at about minute 28. And then I realized I only had 15 minutes to take people down for a soft landing, so I tried my best. I ONLY did 21 songs!!!!! I can’t wait to listen to this to see how shitty or fabulous it is.

From doing this exercise, I learned how fun it can be to DJ on the fly and just create in the moment. That was a mind blowing realization. And after listening to the a couple of times I realized I had scored a couple of songs wrong. I realized this because they sounded out of place in the mix. I’m gonna RE-SCORE them.  This has been an extremely useful assignment and I plan to do this regularly for practice.
