"This album is about the tragedy. I cannot articulate more clearly what its meaning is. 
The bitterness of loss, an existential crisis and many failures that followed one after another. But the finale was the ashes lying on the ruins of my home. 
Since February 24, 2022, the war that Russia brought to our country has claimed a huge number of lives of Ukrainian citizens and destroyed many cities. 
My dear Mariupol is on this list. I never thought that I would love him as much as after February 24th. 
The first track of this EP was written in the fall of 2020. Each piece of music was written in different periods of time, in great creative agony. 
In this release, only the emotions that I have been trying to throw out in the form of music for so long."

🧡 a. goodword combines Patton's enjoyment of compositional ambient music with poetry. The "for today" EP also serves as a poem, with each song title being one line of the poem. "Brightly, with care" is the first line of the poem, and the song is largely an ambient drone track, with subtle movement from pianos, synthesizers, and ambient noise, perfect for reading, sleeping, or meditation.
