Why is perfection always in Major? Sharp echoes run into the tepid fragility of the bones. A staggering roam resumes its straight path and freezes it. Now it’s the heat’s curve that protects me and leaves me in the confort of what I know. The echoes become clear, the texture grows. It’s time to leave. In a sudden, everything returns.

The journey begins from time’s concrete decision. It’s where rests the peace and the martyrdom of the fields coloured with crimson red. An approach, severe and taken by force. Dimension and relief fall like drops of posterity and what comes after. There’s no path, there’s no destiny. Erratic satyric nerve. We’ve found ourselves again and now we accelerate.

The concentration-density of the concept of border. Chromatic suspension of waves, that hiss like small dynamic atmospheres. Textural insertion of notes in reverse osmosis and constant formations in tension.

That feeling of falling from the wake up dream where the rythmic variations lie: in the tunnel, we translate the flavor of a memory. Let it fall. A confirmation from the common sense dissipates all doubts, either ours or from the others. As we’re getting back to perfection, all completes itself. Quietly, we meet up separated.

Last page of this trip journal regarding Ilha das Flores and it is celebrated with an amazing woman that happens to live  in Flores (where she's developing an amazing work with a group of people who are helping to reinvent live in Flores with a new sense of community, sharing trough arts, cultural partnership, sustainability and regenerative relation to nature, and other holistic approaches) and that has welcomed us during stay. Nina (check her amazing music at @nina_musicalmas) shares the words with me in this song about being Islands, and Jörg (that you already know as @joerxworx) helps us our mind meet our bodies in this joyful dance with his flute! 
Really happy with the song, the video and even the lyrics (which are mostly improvised in the moment and sometimes can work as loop game :D )

i've been playing this bass line for more than 10 years now. it used to be "that line" for jam and improving when I played bass on bands. it came to me 2 months ago and now it's here, completly reborn

Anahata was one of Svayam's first songs, at a time when my meditative concerts began to incorporate songs, with lyrics and voice at each concert less shy and more present. It's from the 2018 era, but I wanted to finish her process in 2022. Recorded at Start Up Cultural de Arruda dos Vinhos, in December 2022.

Agradeço

𝐓𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚 𝐂𝐨𝐢𝐬𝐚 is probably the first song that I wrote that made me understand that I didn't only wanted to play instrumental music for meditation and relaxation sessions. I realized that working on music for healing I was healing myself, and needed to express all the doubts, fears, insecurities I felt towards my self, my identity, my choices and my life with others. It's from 2019 it was written on a family caravan near the beach.
Also  this is my first recording 100% made on 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐔𝐩 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐝𝐞 𝐀𝐫𝐫𝐮𝐝𝐚 𝐝𝐨𝐬 𝐕𝐢𝐧𝐡𝐨𝐬, the place where I rehearse, study and record where I live, in Portugal.

𝔸𝕞𝕡𝕒𝕣𝕠 is a song about asking for help, trying to belong in a strange and absurd existence, understanding our needs and other people's, and struggling to be fair, just, and true to oneself.

Amparo

𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐇𝐀 (mountain) was written in Ayacata, Gran Canaria Island, very close to Bentayga and Roque Nublo, amazing mountains where Berber Population used to live in connection with the stars and the land before the spanish invasion! And it was played live in Fundão, Portugal, on the Bienal de Saúde e Bem-Estar. Playing Adufe and Singing.

As we observe life in its infinite details, we see circles, spirals and other patterns that assure us the only divine thing most people tend to recognize is Life itself. All cosmic evidences show circular movements, orbits, and spiral tendencies. Woke up today thinking about these things, observing them in nature as I walk on ancient vulcaninc rock in the coast, by the sea; as I snorkle and dive trough the waters and see all this life, bigger than an individuality.  

As our journey in Ilha de Santa Maria ends, we are amazed with this Divine power that guided us here.

☮ a zaphir shanti chime played, with some feedback loops on June this year

It starts with a guitar piece. 𝗪𝗼𝗱𝘄𝗼 creates this ethereal guitar loop, creating this cicle of emotive fluidity. After some work on this guitar loop (doubling, warping it to 5ths or 3rds), 𝗦𝘃𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗺 feels the call to record some Sitar, inspired by this cyclic swril of notes, helping him reach this blissful state with how sounds come together. And like a cherry on top of a cake (vegan one, please) 𝗷𝗼𝗲𝗿𝘅𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘅 just flys over this amazing scenery, blowing the most sweet notes, bringing a jazzy feeling to this priceless meditation.
I am so happy to share with you one of some collaborations that started with em and Wodwo, and especially to start sharing this one.

Ethereal Reach | 𝗪𝗼𝗱𝘄𝗼, 𝗦𝘃𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗺, 𝗷𝗼𝗲𝗿𝘅𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘅

João 𝗦𝘃𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗺, is a multi instrumentalist, music producer and yoga student / teacher. Connected with the term singer-songwriter but also diverse genres, such as music for meditation, electronic, trip-hop, ambient, free form music, and others.
Lover of nature, passionate world observer, into spiritual questioning and meditation practices.

 Music is one of multiple ways of living fully, being whole and complete, immersed on the vastness of the world. At each music note we can redeem something more from our essence, spread it, echo it, give, receive and be. Svayam is a moment of meditation guided by sound, and it’s offered as an opportunity to be who we really are, to take from the inside what escapes our instant and automatic sensibility. João Sousa guides this voyage - personal, but collective - with a guitar, voice and bowls.
Each body touched by sound is a moment of unique love,
an inexhaustible source of energy. To create with sound is to open doors to the earth, to touch the water, feel the air and transform with fire… For a moment we understand the act of creation, we are that moment, undulating in the ethereal, taking off from matter. Each time Svayam happens, we connect profoundly with humankind, with life, with the cosmos. Let us be all and nothing, here and now, everyone and none.
