I used to listen so intently for a little slice of Fat Freddy in your mixes. Absolute gods.

I'm a primary school teacher now and one of my 10-year-old kids came in on a Monday singing Breakthrough... "i wanna wake up with the sun". None of the other kids knew what she was singing and I started singing it with her. She said "miss I just saw Fat Freddy's in Freo!" (with her dad). So then I got to tell her about all the times I've seen them. I told her about them supporting Erykah Badu and that I was 9 months pregnant at that gig and right in front, only metres from Badu (and FFD). Explained what a theremin is and how I think it impacted my daughter in the womb. She wrote down 'Erykah Badu' in her adorable writing to take home to dad, and I thought to myself... my job as a teacher is done. She good. We good.
