We're very excited to bring you The Advent's set from Meat Free, recorded at The White Hotel on the 1st April 2022. 

Cisco was originally meant to play for us in August 2021 but Covid put a stop to that; thankfully we were able to fulfil our goal of having him to play for us and it couldn't have gone any better in our honest opinion.

Chris Liebing joins for DifferentSound Podcast #209.

We are excited to present our next special guest in the mixtape series: the legendary Chris Liebing!
Chris Liebing has been a driving force in the techno scene for decades, creating a whole genre back in the 90s with hard, fast banging techno and continuing to push the limits of electronic music today, His infectious energy and friendly demeanor have made him a beloved figure in the industry, and his dedication to elevating other artists has helped the scene flourish

Growing up in the German town of Giessen, Liebing’s journey has taken him from a passion for early electronic music to opening a nightclub (“Spinclub”), working in the Eye Q record store and an acclaimed, lasting career in techno. Dedicating himself to a life of creating and sharing music, Liebing has pioneered the European techno scene whilst always staying true to himself.His DJ sets have forever been fast-paced and immersive, physical workouts, though in more recent years they have tended towards a deeper, hybrid approach of layering multiple recordings into something uniquely his. The track selection draws from an encyclopedic knowledge of the techno genre and its history; he interacts with the crowd, intermittently smiling and retreating deep into concentration. An extensive collaboration with DJ software developer Native Instruments has provided Chris tailor-made, DJ technology for himself, and his expertise has provided the same for DJs around the world. As well as club and festival performances, Chris has a weekly radio show called AM/FM; like his involvement in the NovaMute label, it’s one of many ways he stays ahead of the curve with new music.

Another of my colour series of Minimal &amp; Tech House mixes..Enjoy its naked, raw sound. Just drums, bass lines and funky grooves that are essential to make you move. This is harmonic science, the art of making people move their bodies, speaking through to your heart, mind and soul... It's a heart-felt rhythmical dark minimalistic techno sound… play LOUD to fully enjoy &amp; appreciate its pure stripped-down aesthetic that merges through understated development.
There are a lot of dual tracks being played so unique sounds to be enjoyed and of course I picked some really dark Minimalist Techno.This set sweeps back and forth across the genres of Minimalist and Tech House.
