No Matter What

This is the final one of my four seasonal tracks, the summer edition, and the one I've been procrastinating on for ages because it's just so hard to write a happy song that doesn't make you cringe like crazy!

It's all inspired by a wonderful holiday on a gulet in July 2022, cruising up and down the Turkish Mediterranean coast with a bunch of mad musicians, who all feature on the song in some way - I've added a bunch of sound samples from the trip, such as a group jam, one of Sutty's many haikus (thanks for letting me use this!), various bellyflops and associated commentary, manic laughter, chitchat about the moon and last but not least, a beautiful bit of @oddbox_eric 's very own gulet-inspired song "Sail on" (https://soundcloud.com/oddbox_eric/sail-on)!

Thanks to everyone on board for making this an unforgettable trip and finally enabling me to get that one happy song out of the way, so I can now return to my usual gloomy songwriting style :)
