Jody is the founder of the Orchestra Do Mundo, a Unesco-awarded project that uses music to facilitate the integration of children from troubled backgrounds in various parts of the world. He has been active in the international music industry for over 30 years as a promoter, producer, club owner, and label director for the DFC (Expanded Music) label in Italy and subsequently for "Dollars & Fun" (Antler Subway) in Belgium. Jody is known for producing some of the most notable Italo house anthems of the 1980s and 1990s. In 1984, he constructed the first Italian "Sound System" and is still considered a key figure in the spread of the Dub/Sound System Culture in Italy. He is also one of the founding members of the "Link Project," an international multicultural center in Bologna, Italy. Jody is the label manager of Mixtophonico, the in-house label with DJ R in Bologna, Italy.

Throughout his career, Jody has worked with and promoted or produced a wide range of artists, including Afrika Bambaataa & the Soul Sonic Force, Adamski, Adeva, Sister Bliss, Stereo MCs, Boy George, Seal, Ray Charles, James Brown, Khan, Lidia Lunch, Pizarro, Ramirez, Digital Underground with Tupac Shakur, Adrian Sherwood, DJ PoGo, Paul Trouble Anderson, Cutmaster Swift, Mc Mell'O, Jah Tubbys, DJ War, Soul II Soul, Jovanotti, Gaudì, DJ Ricci, RAS Da RIMA, Prince Lincoln Thompson, Derrick May, and Lucio Dalla.
