Candyman – Zedd & Aloe Blacc (Joe Aielli Cover)

I’ve started a series of projects aimed at collaborating and networking with a collective of artists/musicians around the Atlanta area.  This is my song ’Runner’ (the first project in the series) featuring drummer Louis Newsom (Louis has worked with Patti LaBelle, Gladys Knight, Nathan East, Ledisi, Sheila E., Jeff Lorber)and Atlanta-based horn section Terminus Horns (the members of Terminus Horns have performed or recorded with The Floozies, Snarky Puppy, Josh Groben, The String Cheese Incident, Montell Jordan, The Shadowboxers and more).  The song mixes elements of Jazz, Neo Soul, Blues and Pop with electronic and acoustic production.  Much of the music was composed out, but there are improvisatory sections that showcase all of the players.

I'm a singer/songwriter/composer/producer/keyboardist in the Atlanta area.  I write music that mixes various styles and genres - electronic, acoustic, processed, organic, popular, art and anything else that interests me.  One aspect of my musical vision as an artist and composer involves designing musical spaces in which the distinctive gifts and artistry of other musicians can be uniquely featured.  I'm always networking and looking for opportunities to collaborate along these lines, so contact my manager if you're interested in doing a project!

About my background:

I have a degree in music composition/piano from Ball State University and throughout my life I've performed with various bands and artists in many different contexts.  In 2010 I recorded an EP with nationally renowned vocal coach Jan Smith (her client list includes Usher, Rob Thomas, India Arie, Trey Songz, The Band Perry and many more).  In early 2013 I released a self-produced EP entitled 'Never The Same', and in July of 2013 I released my first music video shot by Radiant3 Productions (Gavin DeGraw, Rascal Flatts, Musiq Soulchild)and mixed by Shawn Grove (Collective Soul engineer).
