Disrupta is a name that’s stormed across the Drum & Bass scene in the past year picking up new fans with each new project and effortlessly sliding into new sub-genres. In 2020 Kieran (Disrupta) released his Deep Thoughts EP on Liquid V, a four track release that saw him explore a deeper, more musical side, in 2021 we now welcome him onto V Recordings for the next step in his journey.

The Changes EP is a four track project that spans across a selection of sub-genres whilst all being glued by the ‘Disrupta’ sound. The title track features Manchester vocalist DRS, a musician who needs little introduction and has worked with artists such as Children Of Zeus, dBridge and Marcus Intalex to name a few. ‘Wireless’ is a track sure to be on rotation when clubs back open, ’Tequila’ with J Select sees him delve even deeper into his tech side, and the project goes in full circle with ’Play It Cool’ falling into the same liquid vein as the title track.

We’re looking forward to seeing where Disrupta goes next as his musical pallet continues to develop, if this EP is anything to go by the experimentation is far from done.

After six years with seminal label Metalheadz, building his reputation through a steady output of Soulful Drum & Bass, Lenzman is about to embark on a new journey: launching his own label.

The North Quarter, named after the neighbourhood where he grew up, will be an outlet for both
his own productions as well as music by like minded individuals, who share a love and dedication for all things soulful. Naturally its first release is a Lenzman EP: ‘All For You’.

Taking everything that has shaped him musically and has meant something to him over the years, Lenzman is combining these ingredients to create something heartfelt. Music with imperfections,
born in heartache and pain, joy and laughter; a human celebration. Something far beyond container concepts like ‘Drum & Bass’. A classic attitude shaped in 21st century interpretations, a beautiful struggle if you will. Rather than offering a single track, The North Quarter is about reaching deeper, allowing artists a more varied pallet and more freedom. 

So then here is - the first release. Lenzman's All For You EP offers six tracks, two interludes and two bonus instrumentals. With influences from 90's Hip Hop and beyond. Real music for real people.

The ‘Synergy EP’ is 4 tracks of concise, stripped back, mature and soulful music that bumps. Perez and Spectrasoul have recently formed their own imprints, and as a celebration of this, the Synergy EP is a joint release between the artists’ labels - ‘Ish Chat Music’ (Spectrasoul), and ‘1985 Music’ (Alix Perez). Introducing A Minute After Always EP - the superb debut for Integral Records from liquid legends in the making, Satl & Malaky, with features from Harland, GLXY and our resident soulster Steo on vocal duty.

Opening with the hypnotizing title track "A Minute After Always", this A-side roller is already proving to be a firm favourite. Epitomizing deep soul bass music crafted for the dancefloor, its slick, subterranean melodies and bass in perfect harmony with Steo make musical magic.
On the flip, Satl rolls out an instant classic by the name of "Lovin' U". Emotive vocals and piano hooks reminiscent of oldschool funk and soul layer wonderfully over slick punchy breaks and sly bass for ultimate vibes and groove control.

Wrapping up the 3-track vinyl format, "Serenade" sees Malaky team up with GLXY - another new duo currently making waves. Powerful and super-melodic atmospherics combined with funk-fuelled breaks, a rolling bass chord progression and gritty edits make for a truly sublime future anthem.

Despite having only self released a couple of tunes through his Soundcloud to date, we are expecting big movements from Brighton-based producer Kin:etic. Essence is a crystal-clear liquid roller, with smooth vocal snippets and growling basslines that supply sheer driving energy through its four-minute duration. With a forthcoming feature on a major drum and bass promo channel, we have a feeling this one will go down a storm amongst liquid fans and beyond.
