A conversation with the social psychologist Jonathan Haidt, conducted two days after Trump's election in November 2016.

Haidt is something of a world authority on the science of political polarisation, and landing a meeting with him in the immediate wake of the 2016 US election was a big deal for me.

This wasn't a formal interview - more of a conversation - but we cover a number of topics including Haidt's campaign to promote ideological diversity in the social sciences, his critique of social justice movements on college campuses, and his snap analyses of the election result.
