Elusive Bristol based producer dubspeeka has impressed with an array of releases over the past twelve months, on labels such as Truesoul, Bedrock, Hope, Items &amp; Things and on his very own Skeleton imprint. Also well known as one part of Kosheen, hes now exploring the electronic music world in all its variety under his dubspeeka alias. The man from the UKs West Country has been twisting the minds of the Techno elite over the last months with his unique sound. Deep, powerful and driven by the heaviest of basslines and kick-drums, his dark and industrial take on techno is impressing many.Joel Mull is a rare breed amongst electronic music producers. Classically trained on the piano from a young age, Joels musical understanding goes beyond the traditional primal dancefloor dynamics often associated with techno. He projects his soulful slant on the techno blueprint and in the process provides a more musical, emotive ying to the colder, percussive yang of traditional techno. As such Joel occupies a special place within the scene and is respected for his forward-thinking musical output and long, winding sets of deep and melodic tones.

The one and only Eric Sneo graces Phobiq for the first time with this three-track journey into sleek, chrome-plated Techno. 
The title track has been surgically arranged so that the cavernous percussion and spacious effects can take over the whole track with their immersing strength. The grinding drums in combination with the hypnotic, filtered riff running throughout the track kick things up a notch and ensure maximum overdrive. 
On &#8220;Stanch&#8221;, snappy drums provide the backdrop for otherworldly hi-hats to pound away while the focus shifts to the immense rhythm section and percussive mayhem. As expected, an apocalyptic breakdown ensues and all hell proceeds to break loose. &#8220;Interleaved&#8221; picks up from there and seals the EP with classic chords that mutate over time together with more sonic manipulation, which ultimately serves as an exhibition of effortless mastery.

Jonathan Rosa&#8217;s &#8220;Shut It Down&#8221; is a sexy, seductive number, which means that it&#8217;s right up the alley for label boss Da Fresh to twist and manipulate into a more floor-oriented affair. By looping part of the main groove and implementing a crackling rhythm section, the remix heads out at full throttle, while snippets of the original&#8217;s lyrics and playful percussion keep all posteriors shaking. 
 The original mix is dominated by a familiar, almost retro, bassline with warped, melodic vocal lines and frantic claps rising above the misty vibes. Extra class is added by the subtle, ethereal pads and lush synth washes that creep in and out seamlessly.

Beyer's new track "You're the Same" is six-and-a-half minutes of moody tones set to a slightly laid-back aesthetic. "I wanted to create a deep heavy ‘after hour-ish’ kind of tune but still with the Beyer weight to it," says Beyer. "Something I would play in the beginning of a night or when playing more deep...It's got a big fat vocoder in it which absolutely love; there should be more vocoders in dance music!"

On the heels of our "American Hustle" EP - we are back with our boys Jaceo & Vedic - this time on Bitten Records with our "313 (Detroit Calling)" EP.  Named after the city's area code - lyrically the track is an homage to the city's resilience in the face of constant hardships - to give birth to a musical genre and movement that has touched the lives of millions around the world. 

The flip side - "212" is not actually named after New York City's dialing code as one might suspect - but is rather the temperature (in fahrenheit) that water turns from a liquid into a gas (pretty fucking hot).  The words - courtesy of the one and only Ray Winstone - from the incredible film "Sexy Beast" - underscore that hot feeling we've all experienced in our favorite neighborhood 'sweat on the walls' nightclub. Ok so maybe it wasn't 212 fahrenheit in the club - but you get the point!
