Thanks Fac It’s Friday : In the third of the weekly series, here with a mix dusted off and delivered from the Summer of 1991, rumoured to be a recording of a set by Dave Haslam,  who played at The Hacienda over 450 times and played the final night of the original Fac 51 on June 28th 1997. Here with a heady set of tough club garage, Italian pianos and choice hip hop slices. Dave brings his “Sweet Sensation” concept to the next Manchester Hacienda gig, the August Bank Special at Sankeys, Friday 27th August with Todd Terry, Graeme Park, DJ Woody and Rowetta (Live PA). Parks & Wilson Live at the Eclipse Coventry 1990/1991, one of those tapes you played over and over again, legendary mixing of uplifting house tunes from 90/91by the not so famous DJ's Parks & Wilson, this mix is in my opinion one of the best ive ever heard of uplifting house and will always be pride of my collection.

The Essential Mix is a weekly radio show on BBC Radio 1 currently broadcast between 0:00 - 2:00 AM UK time on Saturday morning. Originally broadcast on 30 October 1993, the Essential Mix features contemporary DJs and music producers of electronic dance music. The show has been presented since its inception by Pete Tong and features an uninterrupted two-hour mix from a different artist each week, overlaid with occasional continuity announcements delivered by Tong. With a broadcast run in excess of 25 years, the Essential Mix is one of the longest-running programmes in the current BBC Radio 1 schedule, and is one of very few Radio 1 shows which is not broadcast live.

• Held residencies at most of the best nights in the SW during the 90s: Verbeer Manor, Plymouth Warehouse, Kool Waters, Claires, Club Kaos (Barnstaple), Volts and more. Held my own with all the big names of the day. I'm not name dropping for the sake of it, check my Facebook, I put a load of old flyers up on there.
 
• Later known for funky house, prog and trance . Managing Noisy Boys Records ensured a supply of the fattest tunes!
 
• Currently favouring deep house, 90s classics and disco house & re-edits (Nu disco if you like).
