I have been listening to EDM since about 1989.........I used to live in a small farm town in Central Alberta Canada, and could not stand the crap on the radio on endless repeat for hours and hours.....
I was 15 then. Purchasing import music CD's from Europe was 60$ - 100$ a disc.
It really started with some kind of industrial German Techno, then Jam & Spoon....
I loved Trance before it was called trance. I always Have. I always will. I will be 80 years old one day, still pounding the beats...
I have traveled to Europe 3 times just to go to Gigs like Sensation and Trance Energy. And I will go to a gig somewhere in the world every year I can. Even EDC Las Vegas a couple of times.

One thing I must point out. Downloading was the key to this genre spreading. How would I have, in year 2000, discovered Sensation? or other music in Europe?
Because of the downloading, I support all events I can go to. 

Market yourself. Get discovered. Mix a few tunes or produce your own, but just keep trance going, don't  let he David Guetta's of the world ruin what we love so much!
