"Time Bomb" was written about the feeling you get when you do what you love most. In this case, for Joe, it's writing and recording the music he hears in his head. If you listen to the lyrics, you can tell they are about revisiting a feeling that he used to get all the time when he was younger. The passion of loving what you do sometimes can only be understood by you yourself. It may be a rough road from time to time. Sometimes going it alone is the only option. What this song really captures is an explosion of emotion that turns into pure hard rock. The phrase "ticking like a time bomb" indicates that the real explosion has yet to come. This song is the beginning of a new era of music for Joe. He plans on continuing his writing with as much drive as possible. The only true goal for him is to be better than the musician he was yesterday.
