🔺FREQUENCY UNDERGROUND INTERVIEW WITH CRUDAWG🔻

◾Real Name: Samuel Crupi, Jr.

◾Current city: Kissimmee, FL

◾DJ Collective: Houz of Breaks

◾How did you come up with your dj name: CruDawg was my nickname in high school when and I just ended up using it. Started as DJ CruDawg but dropped the DJ part so now, it is just... CruDawg.

◾When did you start djing: In the mid-90’s, a friend left his T-1200’s and a Pioneer mixer in my dorm room. Spent a lot of time “DJing” (term very loosely used). Then, over the years made a little family for myself but missed being part of the action. Then in December of 2018, I had a vivid dream in which I was contacted by a supernatural being that simply said, “You are a DJ.” I know that sounds crazy but from that moment I have been one with the music, acting as a conductor for travel in the groove.

◾Favorite dj moment: Standing on Stage with Rob-E, Vicious Vic, and T-Mouse at a local event and looking out at the impact the groove has on each individual.

◾Favorite genre/subgenre to spin: Breaks will always be my number one when it comes to get down, party mode!!!

◾Favorite artists: Without just naming the historic FL Breaks icons like DJ Magic Mike, DJ Icey, and Huda Hudia, I would add Kwartz, Electrom, Prato, Jim Funk, and Wicked Wes

◾Favorite labels: Diesel Recordings, Bass-a-Holix Anonymous, Underground Collective Records, Ravesta Records, Gigabeat Records, One7Audio
