#afx \ best way i can explain this was falling in love with someone that didnt exist, it couldve been applied to anyone and everyone. liferush. I mean it was for luke's competition but when I was making it I obviously had other thoughts going around me ed. Was hard keeping it a secret from him, i had an advantage, i knew better than most what luke liked !-)  I gave the prize to the runner up, i forgot his name now. It's quite quiet becuase the sub is so loud and low, trade/off. \ Won the Future Music competition for the best Luke Vibert remix. 3 - Ponzio Pilates - Bagarre

The weather here today is fantastic. Cloudless blue sky, hot sun and strong warm breeze. I thought I would share with you the sound of the wind today in the cedar tree that I am fortunate to have in my garden and I stuck some piano improv on top. Probably the quickest track I've made in my life. Sometimes less is more. I hope your weekend is also as beautiful as my day here is today. Thank you for listening.

If Only You Could See the Real Me

This song is another part of my "Clutha Project" - a series of pieces reflecting the River Clyde, its history and effect on the folk in that area - and me also, although I haven't lived there for a long time now. (Check the links in my profile to my other SC pages to catch the earlier "Clutha" tracks if you are interested...).

This song is based on my memories of Cardross Crematorium; a place where both my parents' earthly remains were returned to their cosmic elements. It is a neat and unpretentious building, with carefully tended gardens where birds sing and life goes on despite the  silent conveyor belt of sadness that leads different families and groups there every week to say goodbye to loved ones. So many have passed through those gates and so many more will do so in time, one way or another. These places are functional but also mark major moments in the lives (and deaths)of so many and yet they are rarely celebrated in any way in our culture even though graveyards are sometimes remembered through poetry. I am not aware of anyone writing a song about a crematorium, so I thought I would......
