The Alias "E_fflux" is a reference to "the flowing out of substance or particle," derived from the definition of "efflux". The "_" is used to give the "E" pronunciation. The name is symbolic of the flowing of ideas during the beat-making process and was thus adopted into the entire music composition.

San Francisco, California native From Backwards AKA Joseph Morf is an upcoming artist and producer on the rise.   He creates compositions usually for his own use, but also enjoys collaborating with other musicians.   He writes lyrics, plays guitar, bass, synthesizer and anything else he can get his hands on.   He first learned his craft as a singer in various church/jazz choirs and taught himself to play guitar at the age of 17.   He didn't began seriously focusing on music until the death of his older brother Blane at the age of 21.  It was soon after his tragic death that he moved from the Napa Valley to Humboldt County.   Thinking beyond money and looking for nothing but happiness he enrolled in some classes at College of The Redwoods.   It was here that he learned he was pretty good at this music stuff.   He eventually enrolled at Humboldt State University and spent four years studying music and forming his first band Anslinger.  From Backwards music can be described as a mix up of many genres.    His influences can be traced back to his brother who loved all kinds of music.   When Joe was 16 his older brother left him a mix tape that had a little bit of Frank Zappa on it.   This tape made Joe buy a guitar.   This tape made him want to perform.   Everything about it was like magic.   The musicianship/ comedy / subversivness was top notch.  Some kind of insane combination that he has been trying to replicate since that very day.
