Within this mix, Kahru draws inspiration from a myriad of influences. Among them, the resonances of his new Dutch homebase pack a powerful punch, while the intricacies of Romanian minimalism harmonize with sophistication. The echoes of his Hungarian roots bring warmth and colour, dashes of his native UK inject vigor, and hints of disco and deep house interpretations delightfully keep you guessing.

Marrying digital and vinyl, contemporary and vintage, this extended, 2-hour+ mix weaves a spellbinding narrative, meandering diverse moods and emotions.

Beyond DJing, Kahru is also an integral part of the Atrium collective, orchestrating events across Europe in iconic venues, booking high calibre acts like Cesar Merveille, Parallax Deep, Pascal Benjamin, Rozin, Fulvio Calà and more.

The experienced Canarian DJ and selector, standard bearer of avant-garde electronic music from the fortunate islands, lands with a new installment of our Podcast showing his chill-most, unbothered, easygoing side. 

Revolving between B-sides, among his 20-year-career crates, tracks run along in a 80 to 115 BPMs range where Javier keeps on spilling sound quality through enveloping rhythms, brimming with groove that extend with dreamlike atmospheres and intertwine with syncopated rhythms full of polyrhythms . 

Relayed-runner of the pioneer Titto la Rocka, he has been a fundamental in the dissemination and understanding of  intellectual and forward-thinking underground music scene, not only in Gran Canaria, but throughout the 8 islands. 

Pegatina, his own conceptual event with residency in Barcelona is a must-go, opting for eclectic artists of the highest quality who are not necessarily found in most common clubs or festivals of our scene. Thus asserting, his skill as a connoisseur and booker.

As Look Perry, his aka as a producer, in addition to Terms, label and sub alias in production, has left us with some true gems that have led him to be recognized by artists like Saoirse in her 2023 London's Fabric annual compilation.

'Ethereal Ecstasy' is the latest offering from Jack Lazarus on his own imprint, Into The Myst, a three-track progressive house trip that leans deep into cosmic textures and club-driven energy.

The EP opens with its title track, 'Ethereal Ecstasy', built around a rolling bassline, a sharp plucky lead, and a groovy, forward-pushing beat. It’s bright, rhythmic, and tailor-made for lifting a dance floor into motion.

'Astropulse' follows with pure kinetic momentum. A looping, driving progression propels the track forward, capturing the sensation of blasting through space at lightspeed. Its evolving structure and hypnotic energy make it a standout peak-time tool.

Closing the EP is 'Fractal Motion', the most melodic cut of the three, while still anchored in a steady progressive groove. A huge plucky synth takes over in the breakdown and returns for a soaring finale, delivering both emotion and dance-floor power.

With space-themed atmospheres woven throughout, Ethereal Ecstasy showcases Jack Lazarus’s ability to merge melody, movement, and cosmic storytelling into a cohesive, club-ready package.
