Passionate about music for 26 years, the best moments of his life are lived in tune with the different musical styles he embraces. When asked who Gabriel is, or his artistic alter ego, @Classsicko, he likes to define himself this way, or at least, that's how he wants to be seen.

He didn't choose to be an artist, and he didn't choose art.
It chose him; it's in his blood.

In the end, what motivates him is the possibility of inspiring others with his music and story. His greatest dream is for his art to be a light for those in need, just as many artists have been for him. That's why he continues to produce, perform, and share his work with the world, hoping that it can positively touch someone's life.

Paul C returns to Hot Creations as he serves up his first solo material for the label with his bumping three-track ‘Let The Bass Kik’ EP.

A mainstay within the Italian house landscape for over two decades, DJ/producer and label owner Paul C has delivered quality house records via a wealth of top-tier imprints while featuring at key clubs across Europe and beyond. Having made his debut on the label back in 2013 with his bustling collaboration ‘Get This!’, with 2015’s
follow-up ‘Pinball’ also proving to be a favourite for many, he now returns on Hot Creations as he delivers three impressive tracks across his ‘Let The Bass Kik’ EP.

“This EP means a lot to me. I wanted to convey the mood of the 1990s music that accompanied me when I used to go dancing in clubs across Italy from North to South but with a contemporary twist.

Feeling is essential to me; it determines whether an idea is okay or not. For ‘Let The Bass Kik’, it happened in an instant. The energy came to me immediately; it was almost as if everything was building
itself. On days like these, all you have to do is complete your projects and lock yourself away in the studio.” - Paul C.

Opening the package is title track ‘Let The Bass Kik’, a vibrant, energy-charged effort loaded with slinking basslines, hooky samples and sweeping synths to provide a peak time cut made for bustling dancefloors. Next, ‘Can U Dance’ keeps things moving as sweeping electronics and soaring leads are guided by slick metallic drums, before ‘Red Green Yellow’ closes the show as sharp percussion arrangements meet echoed vocals and rich
melodies.

His continuous presence on BBC Radio 1 and sought-after summer residencies underline his influence, complemented by a growing repertoire of successful releases on renowned labels like Cuttin’ Headz, Saved, Kaluki, Sola, and his own Xscape imprint. Already announced to join label boss Jamie Jones this summer in Ibiza for Paradise at Amnesia, the UK talent first serves up a stunning three-tracker ‘XTC’ featuring a collab with HoneyLuv, plus a huge remix from Hot Creations’ leading man who steps out on home turf for the first time this year showcasing his trademark head-bopping groove. 

“This is a special release for me as it’s my third offering on Hot Creations so to also have a remix from Jamie makes it full circle. It’s cool to hear how my music has developed over the 3 releases. ‘XTC’ came from a studio session in London with HoneyLuv and what came from it was this fun and energetic track. ‘Fly Away’ however, is a hypnotic tale which has been a tool in my sets for a little while now.” - Mason Maynard 

Title track ‘XTC’ finds Maynard and HoneyLuv team up for a confident club groover with menacing vocal hooks and playful rhythms, infusing a retro essence into the track. Next, Jones crafts an exemplary, underground dubby take on the track, intertwining layered effects and hypnotic atmospherics for the ultimate dancefloor weapon. To close, ‘Fly Away’ is another twisted offering that comes with Maynard’s distinct blend of depth, melody and groove carefully designed with a futuristic feel.
