Milan Hermess is one of the faces behind the Berlin based record label Mechatronica. With out a doubt Mechatronica is one of the most exciting electro labels to come out in the last 2 years. Mechatronica which consists of Milan Hermess, MEJLE, Electrodon and Daribone have been pumping out quality release after quality release. The Berlin crew have released tracks from the likes of Umwelt, Sync 24, Luke Eargoggle, Dez Williams, The Exaltics, Kluentah, Le Chocolat Noir ,Gestalt, Norwell, DJ Nephil, No Moon, Assembler Code, Jenson Interceptor, The Hacker, amongst many others. When the label is not pushing wax from their discography of electro super stars they are putting on their own stellar events at venues such as Griessmühle and Sameheads where the label holds residencies. Mechatronica teams up with some of the most exciting and original producers/DJ's in the electro/techno/acid/electronica hemisphere for their events, their next party takes place at Sameheads on October 13th where their label will be taking over the night alongside Driss Bennis from Casa Voyager. On October 19th Mechatronica makes their way to Amsterdam during ADE and will be hosting an event with B Side Amsterdam, and will be spinning records along side Anthony Rother and Dez Williams. Keep your eyes and ears on watch out for Mechatronica they are truly doing something special . Big thank you to Milan for doing this mix!

I am very pleased to share this absolutely gorgeous transmission by Dallas DJ Gina G, whose mix encapsulates the very essence of Neptune’s influence. Both Gina G’s musical knowledge and vinyl collection are impressive, and she says it is @Lowfish’s album Eliminator (2000) on @suction-records, which she discovered in high school, that was her gateway to electro, techno and house. Since then the visual artist and aspiring producer has played one-off gigs and held residencies at venues throughout Dallas, and her next show happens on October 20th, alongside @txconnect aka Gavin Guthrie, Chaperone and Marion Gulliet. A special mix made for a now-defunct record label as a promotional tool for a release by the one and only @CarlFinlow

In 2017, Carl spent a good part of the year doing research and recovering many of his tracks produced in the 90s. The idea behind the process was to rescue his music from possible oblivion, stuck as they were in a dying computer language, buried on CDs and DVDs. During that time he reworked his favorite tracks and the result is what you can hear in four of the six vinyl records included in this project called 'MIDI Archeology'.

RecThera Podcast 003 : DVS NME

A short episode of Radar Blips to catch up on promos that have hit the Bass Agenda inbox recently. As always take each 'blip' as a signal to dig deeper into what these artists and labels are doing. Of particular note is Kirill Junolainen's project VEF Radio - a little funky intro kicks off this episode - the full album is excellent and well worth exploring. Jace Syntax's forthcoming album on RF (Rennie Foster's label) is fantastic - varied, rich and so well crafted - get ready for that. The Horn's track is a nice funky number with some jazzy vibes - taken from Musical Mastication 3 on Myoptik's label. Well worth checking out the Musical Mastication series of compilations - massive and eclectic as it gets! There's a pre-promo in here from Serotonin here too (Neurotic Drum Band) - thanks to Jason and John for sending that.
