The Los Angeles-based Nuklear Prophet has been DJing since 1992 and has participated in many DJ battles and won a few titles including: 1998 Powertools Mix show champ; 1999-2001 World Records Champ; 2006 Sam Ash Champ; 2013 Astro Across the Fader Dj Contest Champ; 2016 Red Bull Threestyle Finalist. He has been heavily into breakbeat techno, gabber and electro for many years. 

He's preparing to release an album titled 'Nuklear Prophet - Prophecies 11:21,' which will be on @utraxqdm from Utrecht, Holland. The album will feature more than fifteen Nuklear Prophet tracks, two of which are in this mix, "Nuklear Prophet" and "808 Plague." The LP should be dropping in late October and will be on vinyl, cassette and cd formats. 

Currently, Nuklear Prophet is concentrating on production but open to bookings!

Artist bio	
TECHcontrol aka Darren Holmes have been making music on and off for other 10 years and it's his way to escape from every day life. He has always loved music of all genres. Growing up in Yorkshire in the 70's and 80's he was brought up on groups such as Pink Floyd, Tangerine Dreams and the Who. He feels the 80's changed a lot for him when the begin of electronic music started to hit the scene. Breakdance and the music surrounding it was the thing he remembers the most. Along came the 90's and his love of music just grow with the acid/rave scene along with the Brit-pop scene. But it wasn't until the end of the 90's he discovered how to make music on a computer and this fascinated him so much. Electro has been his first love ever since he first listens to Kraftwerk back in the early 80's. Then TECHcontrol first release comes in 2016 on Urban Connections for the label compilation of VA “Fifth Element”, which was the beginning of a continuous collaboration with the label until 2019.

Andy (Bass Agenda) explains: “After over 100 releases I was planning on taking a break from the label from March but as this Coronavirus pandemic became more and more serious, I really felt like doing something tangible to help.  Like many people I am out of work thanks to this crisis and I wanted to do something meaningful and creative with my time. I was getting the same kind of messages from artists both on the label and in the wider Electro/Techno community.  Having done large charity release projects before I knew this could be done.”

He continues, “I posted on Facebook and approached a few contacts saying I was thinking of doing it and to get in touch if they wanted to get involved.  A week later I had over 70 artists up for the challenge. It is a beautiful thing to see so many talented people getting involved, from newcomers to established leaders in the scene like Carl Finlow, John Selway, Detroit’s Filthiest, Dez Williams, and Radioactive Man.”

“As for where the money from the release will go, I chose NHS Charities Together because they represent over 100 NHS charities and will distribute donations amongst them and also have a specific Covid-19 campaign running.  Médecins Sans Frontières are the other organisation that will receive profits from the release. I wanted to include one that worked beyond the UK to reflect the international nature of the crisis and the fact that the Electro and Techno communities are global too.”

This set is in tribute to Florian Schneider, RIP. 
His work with Kraftwerk gave us the literal digital DNA that ALL modern dance music is informed by. This mix is less polished, with more rough edges, like most things happening today, but it's also that way because it shows how Kraftwerk's music mutated into other genres like R&B, Hip-Hop and commercial dance music in many unique and unexpected ways. This isn't meant to be a seamless dancefloor set; it's meant to have unexpected turns and transitions (intentional or not) and the rawness of it made me decide to post it, warts and all. Enjoy.

Release Info :

Andy (Bass Agenda) explains: “After over 100 releases I was planning on taking a break from the label from March but as this Coronavirus pandemic became more and more serious, I really felt like doing something tangible to help.  Like many people I am out of work thanks to this crisis and I wanted to do something meaningful and creative with my time. I was getting the same kind of messages from artists both on the label and in the wider Electro/Techno community.  Having done large charity release projects before I knew this could be done.”

He continues, “I posted on Facebook and approached a few contacts saying I was thinking of doing it and to get in touch if they wanted to get involved.  A week later I had over 70 artists up for the challenge. It is a beautiful thing to see so many talented people getting involved, from newcomers to established leaders in the scene like Carl Finlow, John Selway, Detroit’s Filthiest, Dez Williams, and Radioactive Man.”

“As for where the money from the release will go, I chose NHS Charities Together because they represent over 100 NHS charities and will distribute donations amongst them and also have a specific Covid-19 campaign running.  Médecins Sans Frontières are the other organisation that will receive profits from the release. I wanted to include one that worked beyond the UK to reflect the international nature of the crisis and the fact that the Electro and Techno communities are global too.”

Bio:
A real music freak, who has mixed her fave electro, IDM and techno tracks since 2005. She is the former co-editor of Selection Sorted TechnoPodcast, has been a guest in many-many radioshows and podcasts, she has played in many clubs and festivals of Hungary(Kontra, wndrlnd, Corvinteto, Müszi, Kuplung, R33, Egál,S.U.N festival,Ozora ect...) and also abroad, like Slovakia,Austria,Romania and France. She is currently based in Nijmegen(NL). Since 2018 she is running her own show, 'bAnger management' on FNOOB techno radio.
