What's Up Desert Hearts Family?

Over the past seven years that we've been throwing this festival, Marbs and Evan Casey have always been at the forefront of delivering darker sounds to our beloved dance floor. So when they wanted to do a 4 hour b2b rinse into sunrise to end our Saturday DH block, you know we were down.

This year they absolutely tore the stage apart with ripping basslines, emotional melodies, and otherworldly moments. It was a journey to say the least.

So today, on the heels of the second single off their inaugural release on Desert Hearts Black, we proudly present to you their set from the festival this year.

In Marbs own words: "We’ve been getting hit up left and right with questions about when mine and Evan Casey’s B2B set from @deserthearts will be released, finally that wait is over. Today we unleash the full 4 hours for everyone to relive and we couldn’t be more excited to do so. This set was very special to us and there was a lot  of intention and energy building up to it. 

"We’ve become close friends over the last couple years, he lived with me for awhile, he asked me to be his best man in his wedding, we’ve been creating a ton together, and we just started a new passion project, @desertheartsblack, a new sub label for our community focused on the darker and deeper sounds we all enjoy. There was definitely a lot of energy going into this moment. 

"Sharing that stage with one of my best friends is something I’ll remember forever. Dark, driving, melodic, journey techno from our hearts to yours. Grab some headphones, take a trip back into our minds and relive that unforgettable night. Big hugs and all the love ✌🏼❤️"

For the sixth installment of their ‘Picture’ series, Diynamic Music has recruited German duo Adana Twins for an extended six-track EP of soaring dancefloor treasures that are not to be missed.

Ahead of the release, The Hamburg-based partners have handed over the EP cut 'Maoa' for a premiere. A late-night operator with glistening synths and absolute soundscapes, the track and its burning cadence both soothes the mind and gets your feet moving.

Amidst the height of the darkest season, Rodriguez Jr. illuminated The Immortal Kingdom at The 2019 Cityfox Halloween festival with a signature Live house set, taking us on an undulating synth-laced voyage with attacking drum beats that made the crowd quake with rigor and might! What a delight.

Over the course of the one and a half hour set in The Immortal Kingdom, Olivier Mateu performed an homage to his Chicago and Detroit house music influences with bouncy house synths haunting and weaving into whimsical harmonies uplifting the crowd over clapping snares and incessant hi-hat tinkerings, while maniacal samples looped to make melodic phrases worked as a nod to the spooky season.

He worked the crowd as a natural, classically trained musician does and his performative alter ego came alive for the ride, plus he gave us insight into the track list (a rarity!) so take a peek below and comment where your favorite musical moment peaks.
