A Collaboration between Joe Crookston and the National WWI Museum in Kansas City.  The song and painting were created after reading and researching 100's of original archive letters sent by nurse, Florence Hemphill in 1918 from France to her family in Wilson County, Kansas 1918 during WWI. This is the 2016 Version of "Brooklyn In July" by Joe Crookston. The song is based on the life of Frank Walker, a chauffeur from NY.  NYC DelanoCelli Productions, is filming "Brooklyn In July" set for an international release in 2017.  The film is based on the Joe Crookston's song and Frank Walker's life in postwar America.

The eternal archetypal battle between good and evil. Joseph Campbell's hero's journey. Star Wars. The problem is that everyone thinks they are the good and the "other" is the evil. This story has been playing itself out from the beginning of time and continues to this day. Eventually the bluebird transcends the hatred & the cage and flies onward to the Jubilee. Another problem is that we humans are fighting wars because we all have a different interpretation of what the Jubilee will look like when we get there. JEDI MIND  Peace out. Joe Crookston
