In the lead up to his third album, Teho is back on his own imprint with first single Lyra. For Teho, Lyra is the end of an era and a new beginning in his musical and personal life. Lyra was produced right before Teho moved to his new house wearing the same name. In his own words, the long wait between the signature and the delivery of the keys was a mixture of frustration and excitement, but also a relief. Lyra reflects all those aspects in Teho’s life at this time. Driving, euphoric and club-focused, Teho’s latest single is built for the dancefloor.

ODTD052 concludes another ground breaking year on Øddity by welcoming back Neapolitan duo Moonwalk. Since 2021’s acclaimed Solaris EP [ODTD019] Moonwalk have put out key releases for Still Vor Talent, Spectrum and Odd One Out. Mauro and Dario have again been working their magic in the studio, crafting two deep energetic melodic techno gems to close out 2023 on a real high.

Spellbinding title track ‘Gattaca’ sets a focused driving groove from the first bars and straps you in for a thrilling ride. Fx saturated vox samples and reverberating arps pull you in further, leading to a classy synth rich breakdown. From here emotional cathedral like chords heighten your sense of anticipation, creating the perfect moment for rising beats kick back in. Expect a sea of raised arms and happy clubbers.

‘Omnia’ treads a deeper and darker path. Swirling futuristic keys add to the sense of drama, which is amplified further by sonic sub-bass pulses. The melodic breakdown delivers a momentary sense of calm, before staccato drums and throbbing bass pulses amp up the intensity. From here swirling arps transfix and send a shiver down your spine.

Once again, Moonwalk and Øddity delivering where it matters most - through the speaker system projected onto the dance-floor. Next year will be even bigger !!!

Hidden Empire - Dark Matter [Snippet]

Originally from Luxembourg, Joe Egassy now calls Cologne (Germany) his home. 

His interest in djing started in 2012. In the beginning, his gigs included mainly private events, mostly birthdays and weddings. He also played in some bars and other party venues. 

It was in summer 2016, that he was attending several music festivals, which inspired him to take a step forward in his DJ Career. In November 2016, the project “Joe Egassy” was born. Under this new name he played first Psytrance and shifted then to Techno. Since then, he played festivals, clubs, forest raves, beaches and more all over Europe. He played not only in Luxembourg and Germany, but also in France, Italie and Greece. 

His productions and mixes can be characterized by Techno with a variety of sounds combining hard and melodic elements.
