Upcoming Techno talent DAHRYL debuts on Soma with his absolute monster of a release, the Distorted Frustration EP. After only a few years in the business, the young Northern Irish producer has gained a slew of big name followers, owing much to his hard hitting and uncompromising sound. His debut Soma release sees him continue to develop this raw, destructive sound and comes backed with a hard as nails remix from Belgian based producer TWAN.

You Make Me Want it opens the EP and hits hard from the get go. Ripping percussive elements tear across a sea of distorted and furious samples with DAHRYL constantly changing up the arrangements to ensure a full throttle start to the release. Info Low Dope continues the high octane energy output with a more rave infected vibe as Pulsing synths surge across hardcore drum workouts. TWANs remix of Info Dope Low goes proper heads down and takes things up a notch. Earth shattering drums collide head on with the original's hook that TWAN has turned up to 11. Hypertension closes out the EP with no loss of energy. Hypnotic vocal cuts paired with syncopated synth stabs keep the rhythm powering through as DAHRYL’s signature bass heavy sound thunders underneath.

The Hamburg producer delivers an outstanding EP of raw energy and brute force while looking both forward and backward. We find tracks that that are reminiscent of sounds of the past but definitely resonate with our current dystopia.
