MOTZ Premiere: Mike Nylons - The Twelve Months (Dióbél Kiadó)

Today we reach #132 of our Local Selection series, which continues to go from strength to strength as we feature a new Local Selector every week. It's fair to say this little island is full of talent and this week is no different. 

Fiveseven is a Dublin-based queer techno goddess who's been making waves as both a contributor and resident DJ at the Grace Club parties. She bases her sound around pulsating, hypnotic melodies and rhythmic sequences, which are relentless yet boucey and ravey. 

Her sound is influenced by being closely involved as a club-goer and collaborator in queer techno and sex-positive club cultures. She has mostly played around Ireland, and Berlin with members of sex-positive and queer collectives such as Herrensauna, Mina and Dump. 

We've come across her mixes over the last few months and knew her take on techno would be something our listeners would really appreciate. If you're in the mood for some fun and wonky techno, then make this your soundtrack for the day.

New Year kicks off for MindTrip with the 4th edition of our Mutable Minds series. This time label boss Pfirter selected 4 different yet unique and powerful tracks from new comers as well as already established artists on the label.

The VA starts with SRIE's label heads, Translate & Pulso, from Buenos Aires who worked together on dissecting compositions down to sparse rhythmic explorations, disruptive power shifts and nebulous bass bliss embodied in one track called Moriarty. Next comes Kike Pravda, the well-known Spanish DJ, producer and Senoid Recordings' owner, with his signature modular and bass heavy sound on Heat.

Nørbak introduced himself to the MindTrip world with his exclusive mix on MindTrip Podcast episode 38 and now he returns on this VA with his tune Avadhuta. Melbourne-based Vohkinne is on closing duties for this VA with his track Active Radio, a pure straighter dancefloor fare.

This mixture of great musicians from all over the world, combining the sound of electronic music, is making Mutable Minds IV so unique. Take a close listen.

Music that has been built for resistance, artist expression and resilience. This is our stand and our grain of sand to raise our voice and that of the women who have been battling for so long. All proceeds of this release will be donated to 'Red Solidaria de Mujeres'. 
Today, we are pleased to present this great initiative and we choose to premiere the track 'Macadamia' by Efe Ce Ele. A powerful sonic experience, like the soundtrack of a revolution, an inner suppressed beast, fighting for their freedom, rights and for securing their place in the world.
