This duo has a very personal music style, with Melodic Techno as main genre, but with a lot of cinematic elements that imprints an special flavour to their music. Solid beats, dark synths, hipnotic atmospheres and complex effects will make you feel very peculiar emotions.

The EP is completed with 2 strong remixes, by the also french producer Atribút, and the duo based on Zurich LUMME & Miguel

Ortus is a talented producer from São Paulo that is constantly growing. His trajectory at Prisma began in 2020 when his song ‘Perla Nera’ was released on the annual compilation ‘Evolution’. In this release, we got to know a little about his studio and his creative process through the video he made for Prisma's 'Inside The Track' series.

Now, in 2022 Ortus is back at Prisma Techno with the 'Alerta' EP.  Containing four original tracks, it presents a hypnotic, dark and intergalactic atmosphere, marked by original and engaging vocals. The EP got important supporters, such as Richie Hawtin, who played the title track 'Alerta’ on New Year's Eve 2021, and Blancah played 'Way Out' at Time Warp Brazil 2022.

The world is going through a moment of great global alert, with pandemics, wars and climate change. All these catastrophes are alerts to activate our perception of reality, especially to make us more aware of the importance of taking care of the place we inhabit and mother nature. The time has come we must wake up to our internal conflicts and bring light to our actions in the world, with love, care and fraternity.

The title track 'Alerta’ is marked by intense rolling bass, heavenly melodies and a female vocal, which sounds like a radio transmission alerting us to the future that awaits us. As the track develops, psychedelic and metallic elements are added, helping to compose its interstellar atmosphere.

In 'Alone In The Crowd', the experience is compared to a meditative state, floating through space. This time a sweet and engaging female voice is combined with the powerful bass line, which grows throughout the track, until the arrival of the trippy break, highlighting the timbres and futuristic elements.

We continued with 'Underworld', giving the EP a more intimate tone. A steady, mysterious groove forms the basis for a playful melody, with layers of atmosphere perfectly blended into a sidereal orchestra.

We finish with 'Way Out', and we can say that it is a powerful track, marked by firm kicks and a very impactful drop. Here male and female voices are interspersed, along with sirens and Hitech elements, causing the impression is we are being sucked into a black hole.

Some Of return to the label for their 2nd release. Their last outing back in December of 2022 was received to high acclaim - with huge support from the big boy brigade at the time. With their long-awaited return to ICONYC, the duo delivers a slice of spring vibes titled 'Beginning'. The original track kicks things off nicely with its melancholic moodiness shining through as melodic techno inspired beats and harmonies are in full swing. The track twists effortlessly throughout, while sultry vocals sit wonderfully on top adding an extra layer of depth. A classy homecoming from Some Of. 

Moon-Sun, who needs no introduction created a rework full of tension from the word go, as the club stimulated vibe keeps you moving with warm tinkling sounds, a smooth edge and some nicely effected sounding pieces. We basically have the formula for a bit of a monumental outing. The sparseness is the key here, as this restrained gem works its magic while it plays away, creating a warm glow, creating an air of sophistication. "Essential stuff!"

Next up is Van Mùrten, known for his polished sound, he keeps the ethereal theme of the original alive, as the pulsating bass powers along, before its drum fills and general warmth all combine to do the talking. Like something from yesteryear, yet sounding fresh - This mystical touch up takes the energy levels up a notch, but increases the melancholy with stripped back and lucid elements at the same time, before the luscious pads grace the rework changing the vibe and creating a blanket of warmth that wraps around the effected groove.

Last but not least we have a remix courtesy of Purple Mars, who delivers a trademark club infused progressive house rework with infectious chords, deep drums and euphoric breakdown. It's all about the groove, cool vibes and the club beats that are working their magic around Purple Mars' wonderfully arranged keys that create an irresistible vibe while taking the mind on a trip. 

With 'Beginning' Some Of really show that there're no boundaries, as this beautiful melodic inspired gem guides you to a full-on melodic hug of a release that will cause many smile induced moments!
