Enzo Siragusa teams up with Alexkid on the first (vinyl only) track of this new VA from London's esteemed Fuse label - 'Killimanjaro' skips along on razor sharp percussion but it's really all about the bass - having been bought up a Jungalist Enzo knows a thing or two about grimey basslines and Alexkid's first release on F Communications was a drum & bass track; together they bring a distinct d&b sensibility to this certified Fuse anthem. Jun Akimoto & Ittetsu step up next, '34 Bounce' keeps things nice and deep imbued with the duos off kilter drums whilst the flip offers up Rich NxT's distinctive take on house music, 'Livin A Vibe'; the rounded bass note lending the groove a distinctly hypnotic feel. Antony Difranceso rounds off proceedings with 'Yours', a fresh slab of beautifully dubbed out deepness.

Following the hypnotic ‘What’s In Your Head’ EP in 2016, Archie Hamilton returns to Moscow Records with his first solo EP on the imprint since the release last year.

Since finishing 2016 with a place in RA's top 100 DJs poll, he’s been touring the world, had a summer residency at Amnesia and released another massive EP on FUSE. An integral part of the stellar ascent of the brand, and founder at tastemaker label initiatives Moscow Records, Moss Co. and Arkityp,he is an artist very much in control of his rise.

The record opens with Confusion; an out and out anthem which has been tearing up dance floors across the globe all summer. A trademark bassline drives the track forward as stabs build, tight percussion cuts through and a repeating vocal enters. Then when the track drops it shifts the mood completely, causing any dance floor to bump uncontrollably.

Dos Equis is something different altogether. Minimalistic percussion and a tight sub lay the foundations for a funky bass guitar line. Warming pads meet Rhodes keys and out of nowhere a beautifully subtle vocal line appears. As the track breaks down, a mind bending synth line takes the listener out of their state of reflection.

The title track on the flip is a classic piece of groovy Hamilton weaponry. A positive mood that bounces along to a whispering voice in the background. The track develops as lush chords permeate the groove, soaking the dance floor in the last of the summer sun to create a euphoric crescendo.

Label head Enzo Siragusa teams with Ibiza resident Nima Gorji for the slick ‘Foreal EP’; the original mix (VINYL ONLY) rolls deep, building nicely with a warming pad whilst subtle tripped out sounds flicker throughout the mix. Djebali offers up more of a bassline friendly mix on the flip whilst Fuse mainstay Seb Zito dusts it down with a phatt kick drum and ups the PHUNK on his version.

Montreal's Paolo Rocco continues his fine run of form with his first solo release on his label RawMoments. The Stereo Club resident has been picking up momentum over the last year, holding events in his home city with crew members Lessi.S and Pijynman. 

'This Life' is the third release on the label RawMoments, featuring two originals from Rocco. The original of A-side 'This Life' is a delicious slice of house music with a repetitive, hazy vocal that adds the final touches.

Trommel has the premiere of the B-side edit by Jack Wickham. The UK-based artist strips the track down removing the vocal and adding artificial drums and acidic stabs that flicker throughout.

Remix duties are handled to Fuse London regular Ben Rau who has recently launched his own ‘Inkal’ and sister-label ‘Meta’ last year, storming the charts release after release. His version of ‘Rough Side’ starts with Ben’s typical infectious groovy approach where super crafted drums are glued with whirring machines and bleeps. The fantastic analog pads constantly evolve since the beginning, driving the listener to another planet.

Closing the EP is 'Night Wings', a seven deep and warm mintues of the finest house music. Again, the title itself perfectly describes the track, where subtle and spaced synths and shuffling drums turn this one into an hypnotic warm-up mood.

Since bursting onto the scene in 2017, Josh Baker has made a huge impact with a string of hugely successful releases, always focusing on quality than quantity. Our eighth release marks his debut on the label and it’s a pleasure for us to present this amazing EP, which also sees label boss Yaya back on the remix duties. Hailing from Manchester, Josh has rapidly gained the attention of lots of European enthusiasts due to his ability for crafting huge dancefloor cuts, blending the most forward thinking sound of the moment with the typical UK raw and garage approach.
Title-track ‘On The Rollover’ is an effortlessly cool and breezy house groover full of percussive elements, crafted layers of bleeps and driving drums. But it’s when the astonishing vocal kicks in that this one becomes an assured peak-time bomb that will be a main-stay in many DJ boxes right into the upcoming summer months. 
This is followed by Yaya’s remix who makes of the original a percussive monster, rising the heat with pressing shakers, clean drum patterns and warm pads. Here, Yaya uses only a few parts from the original vocal, ensuring a more dancefloor-oriented and dub version with a naughty bass and warped synths.

Premiere: Josh Baker - On The Rollover (Yaya Remix) [Tamango Records]

Tamango Records proudly announces the first album from label-head Yaya called “You Decide” that draws from Yaya’s several musical influences and his wide multicultural background. The album is packed with percussive numbers, where Yaya manages to discover a common ground between his minimal roots and the most avant-garde tech house, finding himself at ease into the 4/4 structure and often bringing into play his sister Karice.
The album opens with rattling tribal percussions and ethnic Yoruba chants provided by Karice for a proper mysterious intro that leads to “Be Yourself”, which features again some catchy vocals from Karice. Here, Yaya plays with whirring synths, broken beats and infectious groove elements, while “Black Mamba” rolls with Yaya’s trademark groove of tribal percussions, bongos and toms, all together with deep strings for a vast sonic exploration that culminates into an epic dancefloor burner. Thus, “Ebi Awon” is about flashings synths, elegant organs and a serious rough-edged rolling bassline, with the astonishing Yoruba vocals by Karice being the real deal. Up next is “One Way”, where Yaya chooses spacious kicks and refreshing funky synths for a full high-octane track, whilst “Lost Beach” is a heady and rapid dancefloor brew with scattering percussions, slapping claps and unusual dark synths. Rounding out the package, “Love And Hate” features downsampled and digitalised pads with thoughtful bass strokes and gently swaying drums, suspending you into a smooth and seductive lo-fi space over its 7+ minutes ride. On the outro, the mysterious Yoruba chants make their return, sanctioning, like an ancient prophecy, the end of this journey.
