UpStarts has several sputtering splatters of sound that move on to various resolutions.  A slower middle section features cymbal-like lines against backgrounds of various white-noise clusters.

This is the oldest piece posted to SoundCloud.  It seems bolder and more adventurous than my current compositions, and features some long-abandoned computer instruments.

Gong-like clusters evolve and swirl.  Sections are all variations of the initial "theme".  As the variations get shorter and crazier, they start to bind with one another.  A faster rendition of the original theme ends the piece,

Only three computer "instruments" are used: even-interval white noise clusters; wind-like glissandi; and cymbal-family sounds.  The parameters controlling these instruments change from section to section, creating a wide family of sounds.  The beginning was originally the ending; and is reprised as the ending,

This piece is a set of variations and extensions of two adjacent passages from my earlier piece, "Repetition Compulsion."

CertainIrregularities

Germ idea for the piece was the Mugshot Number for a certain ex-president: 01135809, slicing off the first two digits.  Beginning minute and penultimate three minutes were copied from earlier piece, 3-4-5 Triangles, but using new pitch rows.  New material at end attempting "closure."
