New school house tastemakers Mason Collective make a big bang with their explosive Play It Say It label debut.

Mason Collective are a red hot outfit blowing up the house scene right now. The trio of DJs and producers hail from Manchester and next to their robust club tracks on labels like Whippin Records, Loco Dice’s Desolat and HotTrax, they also promote their own hugely popular - and always sold out - MVSON events.

Their no-nonsense style is here for all to see from the off; 'That's Gas' has a superbly programmed and tightly woven groove that is infectious and propulsive. Sci-fi sounds, filtered vocals and skewed synths peel off the urgent groove and demand you dance. The warm and rubbery 'Ready to Work' echoes Chicago great Gemini with its paranoid bass and vocals as well as high speed sense of house funk.

The wonky titular track shows another side to the collective: it's a freaky late night jam with daubs of melody, unhinged and wispy synths and a kinetic minimal house groove. This most expressive EP finishes with the slick tech and driving drums of 'Steezin', which has a flurry of 909s, taught bass and chopped up vocal sounds that will set any dance floor alight.

This is a fresh, high class take on house music from these contemporary stars.

Press play and the first song you will hear is produced by the label chief, u z z v, called -Jumble-. German star Ray Okpara signed the second one -Care Take-. After these two Deep-Tech tracks comes a Melodic House track called -Arijua- from Spaniard Duo D-Low and Alex Sosa also known as, SOSANDLOW. After his hit -Burn- Dominik Massaro is back asking for some -Guestlist-. Are you -Feeling-, Spega? He is also back with his personal groove. We cross the lake for first time on this trip called MEDMW2020 Official Album, straight to New York for the next song -Naughty Talkin- by, Christian Bistany. You will also find Medellin local artists such as, Raized, with his 'Holloway' and, Hassio (COL), alongside, Sammy Morris, on a collaboration track called -Junin-. Flying to Venezuela for a quick meet with two music lovers from there before heading back to Europe, Roxy Delgado. and her -Supernova- and, Elita's son, Son of Elita, and his -Nemola-. From Poland one of our favourite artists, Peter W, this time with -My Witch- . Poor Pay Rich - Digital Only

The next release on Libero comes from Honduras-based duo, Superchip. They've delivered a blistering EP containing three originals accompanied by remixes from Alessandro Diruggiero and Martin OCCO.

The title track ‘Say Yeah’ gets things off to an upbeat start, loaded with a plethora of signature Libero traits. Punchy kicks and shuffled percussion are met by a robust low-end and tied up with a catchy vocal hook. Injection of offbeat fills and clap rolls throughout to give it a unique and unpredictable personality, making it a statement track.

The first of two remixes comes from label regular, Alessandro Diruggiero. Switching things up with a darker flavour, focusing on hard-hitting low-frequency sound. The combination of a pounding kick and rumbling sub-bass is the perfect companion for driving synths and that captivating vocal.

Martin OCCO follows up with his adaptation of the title track, including his signature skippy percussion. Taking the energy and rhythm of
the original and pumping it with a long, roaring bassline - adding even more atmosphere.

‘Make Me Feel’ is bursting with momentum. Upbeat from the word go, this high-tempo roller features more of Superchip’s innate ability to combine simple rhythmic elements creatively and dust it off with a nostalgic vocal for maximum effect. Climatic builds and thunderous drops give this track a real standout factor.

The release comes to a close with ‘Ameno’, changing the vibe from its predecessors. Skipping hats and rich kicks glide in and out of a rhythmic bassline and pulsing synth stabs, making it a track with a big emphasis on groove and giving it that ‘want to dance’ element. Signing off with a
real touch of class, Superchip shows the depths of their varied productive talent.

'Convinced to Hustle' is exactly what it sounds like - an infectious percussion line over a deep bass groove and an open call to join the dance floor. The perfect opener for an EP, feeding our fire long into the late night.

'Shifting Down' inspires the mood only found at a hot summer open-air, organic, energetic and contagious.
