A new mix series from John Joe XO, founder of the Detroit electronic music label PITS! Herein he shares his own unique style of smooth house grooves with a little bit of party spice thrown in. These are sounds that one can sip coffee to but also nicely top off the end of a club outing. He has been DJing in the city for 10 years and continues to share his love through music.

Patch Notes: 

Using the switched offsets of 2 Beast’s Chalkboards with the 4 built in assignable CVs of Pamela’s PRO Workout to control pattern and modulation jumps across all 8 outputs. 

The 4 switched offsets of 2 Beast’s Chalkboards are connected to the top 4 inputs of the Pam PRO, with the ‘Clock’ and ‘Run’ ins remapped as additional 3rd and 4th CV ins. Various parameters across all 8 outputs are assigned to CV to alter the patterns, pitch sequence, and modulation they produce. To create calculated jumps in the patterns and modulation, Pam’s per assignment offset and attenuation is used, setting a starting and ending state of each parameter for every 1V incremental change of a Beast offset. In practice this acts like preset states per parameter, creating a fun and highly performable way to control song changes manually.

Her dj sets and productions stand for surprising rhythmically complex house and techno. Sara's resident and founder of the feminist and queer underground party ‘Not Your Techno’ and ‘Souk Sessions’, a night dedicated to arab techno.

Through a diverse roster of labels such as Moment Cinetique, Letters To Nina, Kolour Recordings just to name a few and a sound that manage to fuse house and broken beat and with soul, Tree Threes is becoming a a force to be reckoned with.
His debut EP for Omena is another fine example of his talent in brining influences from both house and broken beat with a healthy dose of soul. All four tracks on Find Love & Boogie are made by someone that clearly loves music.

Counting releases on labels such as Sincopat, Nein, Side up Works or Critical Monday and having remixed artists as Darlyn Vlis, Blacktone and Tronik Youth, Mundo D has a prolific discography, to say the least.
