Sixth Avenue Express have been gathering a lot of momentum recently with their mid tempo, emotionally charged productions striking a note with a larger and larger audience. While they have put out releases across a plethora of labels their home has always been at House of Disco Records and thats where SAE is now releasing their next solo EP titled 'I See'. Full of the clever touches and the warmth you've come to expect from them this EP delivers on every front.

The first, and title, track 'I See' sets the perfect tone, a breezy warm track to seduce to. With a haunting vocal and soft strings coupled with woozy base line its the driving keys that turn this track from a lullaby to confidently invigorating and fresh experience.

Second on the release and most dance floor friendly is 'Clandestine' and like the name suggests is best listened in a secretive and illicit location, like a sweaty basement party. This track is laden with the trademark chords that pepper a lot of Sixth Avenue Express productions but its strength lies in its amazing vocal treatments, which shift and grow to an epic level.

'There's No Time' acts a a decompression chamber after a night out, the perfect after party choice. With enough melody to remain positive but a hint of a dark soul 'There's no time' is as alluring as it is fun.

Finally there's 'My Love is Alive' which is the most joyous and optimistic track to see out the release. It brims with full keys, sustained strings and strong vocals. Ending on a high this tracks message is affirming on two fronts, and affirmation of love and an affirmation of the timeless nature of this release.

No sophomore slump here, You is a masterfully produced slice of nu disco bliss, with near-balearic overtones and soulful vocals layered over a rolling groove. Remixes come from Ghosts of Venice and D&D label head, who bring respectively some serious disco and deep vibes to round out the package.

@Hotlane is a duo from Berlin. Agnes came from Stockholm a few years ago, Tobi has been djing at Berlin partys and clubs since the early 2000s. Regular DJ at #KingsizeBar and gallery happenings but mainly chilling at home, doing music.

"Whenever" is their second single. A smooth, summer, mid tempo song. Based on a guitar line that some of you might recognize... but in this new context this magic riff gets a new dimension. "How We Chill" shows all their sampling skills in full effect, creating a laid back house anthem with a strong soul/hip hop influence and a lovely balearic vocal. A track with many magical moments that hit all the right keys.

"Long Beach" is the second track in the package, another laid back, funky number with a great rolling bassline, tasteful percussion and guitar licks. Incredible vibes all around, be it a rooftop, pool or boat party, this are indeed the perfect tools to make those unforgettable summer nights last forever.

Hyphen Hyphen - We Light The Sunshine (Yuksek Remix)

Taken from the most recent Blank & Jones double album, this track has been re-wired & housed up by Hamburg based, Italian sound wizard Cassara.  The result is six and a half minutes of  summer house dancefloor loveliness. Eat your heart out Sophie Ellis-Bextor. You'll know that Blank & Jones got together in 1997.  They danced  at KU in the 80's and went on to make trance music, headlining Amnesia and Eden at night.  In the day they played downtempo at Café Del Mar. They were part of the beginning of trance alongside Paul Oakenfold, also working with The Cure, New Order, The Pet Shop Boys & Boy George.  Their sound has evolved so much over the years with 20 albums of Electronica, Ambient, Trance and Dance under their belts.

Cassara is on remix duty on this track delivering his well honed, funky-French, house style in full effect.  Cris Cassara's love for Daft Punk and the French House scene of the late 90's with Fred Falke, Cassius and Superfunk brought him to nightly sessions in the studio, trying to decode the DNA of that legendary sound.  Cassara works his magic findings on this track, with the vocal of Emma Brammer. It's super summery, dance floor friendly, house music that's guaranteed to make the girls dance...
