Nigh on 50 years in music biz as bandleader and side person to top jazz instrumentalists and singers such as Donald Byrd, Vernell Fournier, Barry Harris, Chris Anderson, Big Joe Turner and Hadda Brooks. Co-composer with Jimmy Norman (lyricist for Time is on My Side, collaborator with Bob Marley, Jimi Hendrix) of You're My Foundation---dedicated to the charitable works for musicians of the Jazz Foundation of America.
