[Behind The Track]

Welcome to the twentieth release of Launch Records. After the release ’Marilyn’ Berx is back at Launch with his song called ‘Lavender’. Berx, formerly known as Tom Berx want to go in a new direction and therefore he also changed his name to Berx. We of Launch are honored to release Tom his first official release under his new name.

Berx used his signature sounds again in this song. The song starts with how we know Tom, with some mystery sounds. More and more sounds are getting added to give the track more atmosphere. As the build-up starts you know the drop is about to get launched. Even though the drop is a little bit different from the rest of the track it really fits with the track. 

When the drop hits, which is a very unique one with the Berx baseline and a really strong melody, the track is transforming into a real Berx song. This drop is what we call profession and that is just what we want at Launch. After the drop, you hear a new part of the track. This part has the same sounds and chords but they are in a different melody. This gives the song more variety.

All these aspects which are used in the track make the track a real Launch release. We can already say that ‘Berx’ will be releasing more of his songs under his new name ‘Berx’. So, you definitely need to keep an eye on him because he’s about to conquer the future house scene.
