Bio:


Nicola Di Giacomo nasce a Salerno…classe ’74. E’ la madre a tramandargli la passione per la musica, e all’età di 8 anni inizia il suo interesse per la disco-music crescendo con gli artisti che in quegli anni rivoluzionarono il panorama musicale, come Giorgio Moroder, Cerrone e Gino Soccio. Qualche anno dopo frequenta i party e i club che contano e diventa amante della nascente scena house newyorkese e italiana. In pochissimo tempo si attrezza un home studio e con i pochi mezzi a disposizione riesce a registrare i suoi primi demos, che saranno poi sviluppati in studi più professionali. Dal 1994 iniziano le prime produzioni e collaborazioni con artisti quali "KK" (vincitori del DMC nel 1993) e si mette alla ricerca di sonorità innovative, consolidando un suo stile ben definito, un fuzz-funk tempestato di grooves e suoni ricercati. Intanto si trasferisce a vivere a Cassino e nel 2002, avviene l’incontro con colui che sarà il suo più stretto collaboratore, con il quale realizza un progetto “electro-funk” stampato dalla Edel vincendo un "Dancemusic Contest". Entrambi maturano la stessa passione per la musica house, in particolare per artisti come Daft Punk, Cassius, Junior Jack, ed iniziano ad applicare le loro sonorità a quelle della French-house. Inizieranno poi diverse produzioni firmate "TIME RECORDS", col progetto X-Plane, che riscuoterà notevole successo in Italia, Austria e Germania, portandolo ad esibirsi nei migliori locali oltralpe. Nel contempo ci saranno svariate produzioni firmate "ZOOLOOP RECORDS", vantando collaborazioni con DJ's - Producers Newyorkesi di punta. Successivamente instaura un’ulteriore importante amicizia e collaborazione con Savino Martinez, dj-producer di rilievo della “The Dub”, nonché socio co-produttore di Claudio Coccoluto, importando così ulteriori sonorità elettroniche. Un anno dopo ci sarà l’importante incontro con Santos, produttore della “Mantra vibes” (Expanded-Music) che vive ed opera a Frosinone, con il quale, inevitabilmente inizierà una serie di collaborazioni e consolidando diversi progetti, quali Nicolass (che scalerà la classifica di Radio1 della BBC)e 50 Degrees, remixando in chiave house la famosissima sigla di “Domenica Sprint – Stadium”. Durante questo periodo esporterà la sua musica all'estero, producendo per la Germania e l’Austria seguita da diverse tournèe nelle discoteche locali. Negli ultimi anni si farà conoscere col nick "JOE MANINA", producendo diversi brani quali "Tango", "Pussymen" ed "Haunted House", rilasciati dalla "TIME RECORDS" (collaborando inoltre con German Leguizamon, voce dei SoundLovers), remixando svariate produzioni, fino all'arrivo dell'attuale progetto "NU MOODS - MUCIACIO" che dopo qualche giorno dalla release scalerà le classifiche più importanti del settore quali Beatport, Traxsource ed I-TUNES.


Nicola Di Giacomo is born in the city of Salerno, Italy in 1974. His mother instilled and nourished his passion for music. At the tender age of eight, Nicola begins to show interest in the disco-music genre, growing up with the artists who revolutionized the world of music, such as Giorgio Moroder, Cerrone and Gino Soccio. A few years later, while frequenting parties and clubs, he becomes entranced with the budding New York and Italian house scenes. Soon after, Nicola sets up a home studio, and although poorly equipped, manages to record his first demos; later developed in professional studios. From 1994 onwards, his first productions begin, with DJ Nicolass constantly searching for new and innovative sounds, consolidating his own unique style of fuzz-funk crammed with matchless grooves and sounds. Nicola moves to the city of Cassino, and in 2002 meets who later becomes his most important associate. Together they create an “elektro-funk” project produced by Edel, with which they win a dance music contest. Piergiorgio and Nicola develop the same love for house music artists like Daft Punk, Cassius, and Junior Jack, incorporating these sounds with those used in French-house. In the mean time, Nicola also establishes another important working and personal friendship Savino Martinez, a dj-producer at a club known as “The Dub”, also partner of Claudio Coccoluto, thus continuously acquiring fresh electronic beats. A year later, Nicola becomes acquainted with Santos, a native of Frosinone and important producer belonging to “Mantra Vibes”. The pair, along with 50 degrees, produce a house remix of the infamous “Domenica Sprint – Stadium” theme song. Shortly thereafter, DJ Nicolass finds himself exporting his talent and music to both Germany and Austria, where he embarked on a tour of local nightclubs. In recent years will know the nickname "Joe Manina", producing several songs such as "Tango", "Pussymen" and "Haunted House", released by the "TIME RECORDS" (also collaborating with German Leguizamón, voice of Soundlovers), remixing various productions, until the arrival of the project "UN MOODS - MUCIACIO" that after a few days from release will scale the charts as the most important sector Beatport, Traxsource and I-TUNES.
