This song was made for and used in Sonic 2 Recreation by redhotsonic.
The song loops, but if you finish the level at the correct time point, it will end the song as you hear in this upload. It's one of 3 songs in the game that do this. (hint: CAZ 3 is an autoscroller, so don't die and try to reach the signpost early.)

This is a version of Cliff Farm from Grunty's Revenge which uses instruments from Banjo-Kazooie - the original, N64 game, that is! Rather than using soundfonts created from samples extracted from the game - I instead put this together by sequencing a MIDI version of the song, and individually importing the tracks into the Banjo-Kazooie ROM using an amazing bit of software called the "N64 MIDI Tool", which was written by SubDrag. I then recorded the tracks from the hacked ROM using Project64, and composited them. So, hopefully this is a relatively authentic imagining of what it would have sounded like if Grunty's Revenge was an N64 game!
