MiZi MuZiK continues its sonic journey with James Harcourts futuristic brand of intricate synth work, stripped drum structures, and blooming euphoria. For catalog no. 2, James delivers three-tracker Symmetry —a choppy, synth-crazed piece of sound alchemy that merges the cerebral with the visceral, unveiling new nuances on every listen. Hedonista is quintessential Harcourt: moulding highly technical synth-work into an accessible, floor- focused groover with an avant-garde twist, James unfolds an array of pitch-bending lead themes that arc across a field of radiant pads. Ricocheting metallic plucks tear through bright atmospheres, completing an artful oscillation between serene beauty and dancefloor exultation. The title track Symmetry unfolds a radically refreshing concept of club music. Built atop a compact, tomtom-driven beat, Symmetry populates its stripped frequency spectrum with bit-crushed, spaced-out, and pitch-bent synth salvos. Thoughtfully giving each the room to unfold their nuances and particularities, James explores a vast array of intricately crafted soundscapes and energies —Symmetry ends up a bleeding-edge tour de force of electric synthesis and unexpected dancefloor curveball. Evolution closes out the three-tracker with a booming array of oscillators that gradually morph into a bright and hopeful orchestra of electric contortions, chopped-up pulse waves, and cascading white- noise percussion. With Already Won, Joep Mencke ventures into new territory, bringing a housier, indie-dance-infused sound to the forefront of his expanding musical universe. Known for his organic sound and emotional depth, Joep now explores a different side of himself — turning up the energy with a three-track EP designed to move both body and soul.

The EP kicks off with “Already Won” — a bold statement track driven by funky piano stabs, a deep indie-house rhythm, and a soulful vocal hook. A celebration of self-belief, the track radiates the confidence of someone who knows they’re exactly where they’re meant to be.

“Out of My Mind” dives into late-night territory, where hypnotic vocals, bright stabs, and a driving beat invite full surrender — a soundtrack for letting go and getting lost in the moment.

“Disco Driver” wraps up the EP with playful, retro-tinged flair. Anchored by a rolling bass-line, staccato strings, and triumphant brass, it blends disco nostalgia with indie-dance energy, made for euphoric dance-floor moments.

Super groovy EP! 

Track Info: 

Tel Aviv-based duo PETEL — made up of Kobi and Ehud — make their debut on ELIF’s
Marginalia with Be, while Marginalia staple Althoff returns, this time on remix duties. The EP
showcases the pair’s unique synergy: Kobi’s precision in production and Ehud’s deep musicality
combine to create a sound that’s both vulnerable and expansive.

The opening track Be channels a powerful message of identity and presence. Haunting vocals
swirl around analogue warmth, as hypnotic synths and fluid grooves evolve with patience and
purpose. It’s a track that invites surrender — both in the body and in the moment.

Stepping up for the remix is Brazilian talent Althoff (Katermukke, Bar 25, Borders of Light), who
has released regularly with Marginalia. Known for his textured, organic approach to melodic
techno and supported by names like Solomun and Adriatique, Althoff reimagines Be with tribal
percussion, layered tension, and sweeping melodic phrasing — turning the original’s intimacy
into a peak-time ritual.

The EP closes with No Fear, a darker, late-night roller with tightly wound rhythms and deep,
immersive energy. Synth lines pulse beneath subtle vocal samples, building toward a moment of
restrained release.

With Be EP, Marginalia continues its journey of releasing music that fuses feeling and function
— a home for artists unafraid to dig deeper.
