Say it again, I don’t understand. Come back home, I miss you. Sometimes I need to restate in order to send a clearer message. Words can’t heal insanity but in the end it’s infinite trust that holds us together, strong like the sum of everything and nothing. We need to destroy ourselves once in a while, just to rebuild from scratch and start a new chapter of love.

A ritual has opened your eyes. Departure into separate worlds, our universal language extinct slowly. Like a rainbow I can’t find you anymore. The cosmic loop of life is closing and my reincarnation is decided.

Linda Westin’s visual message offers brightness to things being hidden in the dark. Her alternative view on reality has inspired me to restate and go deeper on my search for the truth.

This is the soundtrack of my first Imagery episode. 

Music is one way I create, but as most of you know photography is a big part of my life. In my Imagery project I combine the audio and the visual side to create one full immersion. This project is about the continuous interactions between the audio and the visual: how photography and traveling has shaped my music and how my path in music has impacted my travels and photography. 

Both music and photography are strong triggers of emotions and memories. Each “Imagery” episode relates to a special adventure, reflecting a specific sentiment. My musical vision is built around the concept of taking the listener on a journey. With this project I want to deepen the musical experience by taking the listener on my personal journey.

The first episode will take you to the wild hills of Papua. Still disconnected from the main world, it was unlike anything I have ever seen before. Imagine yourself in a place where there are no roads, walking from village to village through an area of huge biological diversity inhabited by various indigenous hill tribes. Most of these indigenous tribes are rarely in contact with foreigners from outside their microcosms. And this isolation has preserved their unique and rich traditions. 

The music guiding you through the photos reflects my intriguing and mystical experience in Papua. This track is a great example of musical storytelling and it greatly reflects the essence of what I’m looking for in music. The chords create a sense of melancholia, which for me, is one of the most interesting emotions the explore. And the melodies form an ode to the beautiful nature of Papua and the mystical hill tribes inhabiting this land.

Ogun or Ogoun is a god that appears in several African religions.

In Yoruba religion, Ogun is a primordial orisha who first appeared as a hunter named Tobe Ode. He is said to have been the first Orisha to descend to the realm of Ile Aiye ("Earth"), to find a suitable place for future human life. In some traditions, he is said to have cleared a path for the other gods to enter Earth, using a metal ax and with the assistance of a dog. To commemorate this, one of his praise names, or oriki, is Osin Imole or the "first of the primordial Orisha to come to Earth". He is the god of war and metals. The original Rabenkind was a little laidback, so I wanted a more danceable/funky version. It is not thaaaat polished (just added the E-Piano I wanted to play live, changed the Kick and did some basic mixing). This release is kind of a "Thank you" for supporting me in 2020 that much :) You will see some more releases from myself and my project @bassaramusic (with the lovely @sahrabass) in the near future!
