Naüge Beng - New Roads, the album created by the actress-songwriter Maria Roveran and the composer Joe Schievano, is supported by the Cimbro Institute of Luserna and the Trentino Alto Adige Region.
As from the title, the production was born from a "special encounter", to propose itself as a new path through which to meet the other, a new road (precisely) to make the Cimbrian language and culture known through the power of music.
The disc collects ten tracks: unreleased tracks, covers and traditional songs, which pay homage to an ancient language, the Cimbro. All the tracks were written and sung in this delicate language, which with great tenacity and not without effort, is today trying to survive linguistic globalization and the many social and demographic phenomena that daily jeopardize its transmission to the new generations.

Maria Roveran and Joe Schievano worked for more than a year, with the aim of gathering the Cimbrian linguistic essence in ten tracks that differ in sound and genre, precisely with the aim of exciting and bringing the audience closer to the Cimbrian culture .

Naüge Beng - Strade Nuove, l'album creato dall’attrice-cantautrice Maria Roveran e dal compositore Joe Schievano, è sostenuto dall’Istituto cimbro di Luserna e dalla Regione Trentino Alto Adige.
Come da titolo, la produzione nasce da un “incontro speciale”, per proporsi come un sentiero nuovo attraverso cui incontrare l’altro, una strada nuova (appunto) per far conoscere la lingua e la cultura cimbra attraverso il potere della musica.
Il disco raccoglie dieci tracce: inediti, cover e brani di tradizione, che rendono omaggio a un idioma antico, il cimbro. Tutte le tracce sono state scritte e cantate in questa delicata lingua, che con grande tenacia e non senza fatica, sta tentando oggi di sopravvivere alla globalizzazione linguistica e ai molteplici fenomeni sociali e demografici che ne mettono quotidianamente a repentaglio la trasmissione alle nuove generazioni.

Maria Roveran e Joe Schievano hanno lavorato per più di un anno, con l’intento di raccogliere l’essenza linguistica cimbra in dieci tracce differenti tra loro per sonorità e genere, proprio con l’obiettivo di emozionare e avvicinare alla cultura cimbra il pubblico stesso.

Giovanni "Joe" Schievano lives in Italy, twenty minutes from Venice.
His career as a musician starts first as lead guitar.
With various bands he has composed and published over twenty tracks in two CD productions, one of which with Sony Music and has played an intense live activity for a decade.
With NAX (Network Audio Experience) in collaboration with the Hollywood films composer Paolo Steffan, he composed music for shorts and commercials.
In 2014 he founded Soundrivemotion, a sound factory company in the round: original music and sounds for films and documentaries, commercials, sound design, audio post production for films.
"Specialist Certificate" at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, for composition and orchestration for Film and TV.
In Vienna, he studied and deepened the themes of the creation of a soundtrack with Joe Kraemer, composer of countless Hollywood films.
