The second EP from Soma’s 20th Birthday series is a landmark release. Soma’s 300th, comes from Silicone Soul, with an almighty set of remixes of their ‘Right On, Right On’ classic, including Nick Curly, Ramon Tapia, Fergie, Darren Emerson and M.A.N.D.Y.’s 2002 remix. Hatikvah have also submitted a beautifully deep rework of the Silicone Soul original, which will be an exclusive on the Soma 20 Anniversary box set, released in September.

Back in 1993 Strictly Rhythm released a record called ‘South Street Player – (Who?) Keeps Changing Your Mind‘. It was a song produced and performed by Roland Clarke, who you also might know from ‘ Armand van Helden’s Flowers‘.

Soon it became quite a big club hit here in The Netherlands. We both loved the record so we decided to license it for our Fresh Fruit Label. For our release we made 2 remixes: Fresh Fruit Deep and Fresh Fruit Dub. Both didn’t have much vocals in it, not because we didn’t like them, but because back then we just didn’t have the equipment to include the full vocals. In those early days our ’studio’ was very basic!

Now, 17 years later, we made a vocal edit of our Fresh Fruit Dub, so you can finally hear it how it was ment to be.

Originally released to widespread acclaim in May last year, the sun-blissed grooves and melodies of ‘Missing You’ are back for 2014 with a brace of new mixes and set for release on both digital and vinyl formats over the coming weeks.



On the A-side of this new package is something rather special. Extra Dry originally approached Frankie Knuckles and Eric Kupper to produce a Director’s Cut remix on this record early in 2014. In his own words Eric Kupper explains how the mix came about…



“I have been regularly playing the original version of this amazingly beautiful record since I first received it last year and I was originally scheduled to do this mix with my musical partner-in-crime, Frankie Knuckles. After his untimely passing, I still really wanted to remix this record – in the Director’s Cut style we had carefully honed over the years – with his guidance from above. “And I’m Still Missing Him”…forever. It is with real honor and respect that we present Eric Kupper’s ‘Director’s Cut Tribute To FK’ Mix on this release.

Leading up the B-side are Nineteen96. Fresh from a recent release on Strictly Rhythm, the Nineteen96 boys deliver a mix that take ‘Missing You’ in a really fresh direction. The digital package is completed by the two mixes from Artful and Ridney themselves while the vinyl release feature the exclusive ‘Vinyl-a-pella’.



This release on ‘Missing You’  will be available exclusively on Traxsource from Monday 21st July with a full digital release following on Monday 18th August. Limited edition red 12” vinyl will be available in September. This release has been put together by Extra Dry in collaboration with SoSure Music. "Fuego en casa" is an electronic label based in Brussels (Belgium), devoted to electronic music, sound design and a/v shows. Its second releases is the debut EP by Madrid 79 : 6 cuts of acid / electro mastered by Pedro Vinuela at Nexo 101 Mastering.
A soundtrack about a day in an imaginary city called Madrid in 1979 where kids took Opel Kaddetts to drive by in neighbourhoods like Ciudad Lineal/Ventas/San Blas. A science fiction version of the town where people listened to acid electro as well as music by flamenco rock artists of the Cano Roto Sound. And where the city and its inhabitants ressembled the comics in Metal Hurlant magazine. The record is split between a Dawn and an Evening Side.
 "Acid Dawn" is the soundtrack where the city starts waking up and the kids go back to their working class neighbourhood in their cars after a night driving around the city centre. A good "Acid breakfast" in the bars of the neighbourhood with a black "Acid Coffee". "Aciday" starts. The parents have to go to their work in the factories around the city and the kids wander in the around to find adventures and opportunities. They go to car repair joints, to parks...more and more houses are built in the background. There are promises of a more
modern city but opportunities are not always real. Listening to electro music makes a lot of a difference and gets you out. The day is a melancholic one as dreams did not materialise. Time for an "Electro Dinner" and take the cars again at sunset to visit other parts of the city to continue dreaming

Joe Smooth is one of the pioneers of the style of music known today as house music. He is a self-taught musician who, from the age of 12, has been creating music that is inspiring to all that his sound has touched. In 1985 he joined the DJ International family and quickly became a central force behind everything written or produced from the visionary label. He has worked with such artists as Frankie Knuckles, Marshal Jefferson, A Guy Called Gerald, Lil Louis, D'Bora, Tyree Cooper, Fast Eddie, Fingers Inc., The Art Of Noise, Sterling Void, The Pet Shop Boys, Brian Mc knight, Atlantic Starr, The Style Council, New Order, Steve Hurley... and the List Goes On.
At the age of 16, Joe Smooth began having house parties and djing throughout Chicago's underground music scene. At 18, he opened his first night club called east Hollywood Mannequins. In 1983, Joe began dj’ing at the famous Smart Bar nightclub and created an atmosphere and mystique that still lives today. In 1985, the Limelight contracted Joe for their Chicago nightclub as musical coordinator. In 1987, he also started working for the soulful Charlie club nightclub as head DJ/musical coordinator.
In 1988, with musical production work building and traveling abroad Joe Smooth left the club scene for a short break to put his concentration fully into his productions. Joe Smooth is the writer of one of the biggest and most covered house anthems of all time "Promised Land", followed by "They Want To Be Free" recorded for CNN as the soundtrack for Nelson Mendela's release. Joe Smooth has written and released over 150 songs worldwide and can be credited with the involvement of over 10,000,000 record sales. In 1990, Joe Smooth saw a need for a serious underground house club in Chicago and opened the Warehouse nightclub, named in tribute to the legendary Warehouse nightclub of the early eighties. 1995 Joe Smooth looking for new horizons ventured to Rome to work on a label idea with producer Claudio Donato “active bass music” distributed by the now dissolved flying records network. In response to flying's failing and lack of a strong distribution network Joe Smooth returned to Chicago and began searching out new talents to develop and begin his new venture “Obelisk Productions Multimedia”. Thru the nineties til present day   Joe Smooth has done extensive work with Slang Music Group and Nu Soul. Joe's work at Slang and Nu Soul would include projects featuring Whitney Houston, Omarion, Beyonce, Joe, Donnell Jones, Destiny's Child, Sisqo, Vivian Green, Amerie, R Kelly, Janet Jackson, Kanye West, Max-a-Million, Kelly Price, Saleena Johnson, Back Street Boys, Wyclef, Prince and Madonna to name a few.
