Oh boi. The impeccable Henrik Schwarz redubbing Sven Väth's classic 'Electrica Salsa' - a truly remarkable feat.

The track was first released back in 1986, when Sven (at the age of 21) was a member of Frankfurt project OFF, alongside Michael Münzing and Luca Anzilotti. ‘Electrica Salsa (Baba Baba)’ changed the face of electronic music in European pop culture, achieving top three success in France, Austria and Germany at a time when dance music was still regarded as an underground movement from Detroit and Chicago. 30 years later, Sven enlisted Henrik Schwarz and Roman Flügel to provide remixes of the track.

Best known for his work on Innervisions, !K7, and Defected Records, and acting as one half of the acclaimed duo Schwarzmann alongside Frank Weidemann - Schwarz has dedicated almost his entire life to electronic music production. The atmosphere created in his newly formed Electrica Salsa is one with gated reverberated snares and percussive hits, little melodic stabs, and sneaky space synths to what makes one feel as if they are inside the Mos Eisley cantina... with Sven Väth whispering in your ears. Sven Väth - Age of Love (Squartek Remix)

Bringing his a signature hypnotic, dark and pounding groove, Argentina-based minimal techno producer, Martin Kinrus, joins refused. with ‘Conform.' This four track EP features a mesmerizing blend of music that falls perfectly within the dark, driven, and moving percussive patterns that the label is notorious for delivering. With enveloping basslines and unique stabbing-melodic synth hooks, the tracks find their own place within the collection. ‘Conform’ builds on the ever-evolving, atmospheric experience that has attracted Martin to techno in the early days of his career and has earned him a unique, personal sonic identity.

The third Realm Of Consciousness compilation on Tale Of Us’ Afterlife Recordings is the label’s most complete statement so far.

The four-vinyl opus opens with Tale Of Us’ now anthemic ‘Nova’, a high-impact and well-loved staple of their sets this year. Agents Of Time continue with the percussive rattle of ‘Paradigm’, before the first released collaboration between luminaries Recondite and Henrik Schwarz shines with understated melody.

Amongst Mind Against’s eerie masterpiece ‘Portal’ and impressive first appearances on Afterlife from Scuba (as SCB) and Steve Rachmad (as Sterac) are ethereal contributions from Fideles, Ovend and Øostil. UK techno veteran Edit Select channels the darker, hypnotic spirit of Afterlife with ‘Phase In’, setting up the sprawling, 14-minute epic from Luigi Tozzi and Antonio Ruscito.

To begin the compilation’s fourth disc, Konstantin Sibold & Kosme’s ‘Cyclone’ lifts the tone, leading into a more introspective sound from Hunter/Game on ‘Changing Weather’. Upcoming German talent Kevin De Vries follows with his infectious cut ‘Mágoa’ and Tone Depth ends the odyssey in mesmerising style with ‘Ibn Sina’.

The full spectrum of Tale Of Us’ Afterlife label is on display here, as they continue to push the envelope with a high-quality and diverse selection of artists.
