Rutendo Has Give Me Rona

I created this "snorg" to break up segments of the "Too Hard To Swallow" podcast.
Started with the electric piano riff. Then I piled on acoustic guitar, electric guitar, mandolin, a bell patch, a string patch, tongue drum, cabasa, shekere, shaker, and a floor tom imitating a tympani.

Willow Bark

I was asked for an "ambient" piece of music. This is used for (author) Carolyn North's podcast introduction. I wrote an interesting chord progression on acoustic guitar, then made the map in Pro Tools and got the keyboard working. Written, recorded, edited and mixed in about 5 days.

Another piece of music for the podcast. This sound appears whenever the main character is doing drugs.

Christmas Time Is Here

Oh so many years ago, I bought my first Pro Tools rig. Digi 001.
A woman I was gigging with liked what I did with one of her tunes as an experiment, learning to use PT. She then suggested we make a record. Far out, man. My first production gig!
For one reason or another it never went anywhere.
But I still have the tracks. This is a very ruff mix.

The singer/songwriter shall go unnamed. 
Drums provided by Ronny Crawford.
Cello by someone I never met. The cello track was inserted to my session from an earlier session the singer had done for this tune.
Much chopping and lining up on my part.
Can't remember who played organ, either. 
I recorded him at Tomato Farm 2.0 in Palo Alto.
I played fretless bass, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, piano, and string ensemble.
From what I can recall, most of the other tracks were recorded by me at Tomato Farm 1.0 in Menlo Park, CA.
For what it's worth, here ya go.

So, I wrote this for the montage section of "The Knock". The odd time signatures reflect the frame cuts. Stephanie Newsom played piano.
I love it. However, the director deemed it "too complex" and felt it would distract from the scene. Oh well.
