This is an ironical song (ballade) about the time which I spend in our garden.

Endlich scheint mal wieder die Sonne,
das ist wirklich eine Wonne.
Ich sitze mit der Zeitung im Garten
und kann den ersten Sonnenbrand gar nicht erwarten.

Ach, ist das schön hier im Garten,
ich könnt´ hier ewig warten.

Endlich ist der Winter weg,
bekämpft wird jetzt der Frühlingsspeck.
Die Grillsaison hat schon begonnen,
da fühlen sich Schwein und Rind etwas beklommen.
Zwei Kilo Fleisch kosten nur vier Euro sechzig,
den infizierten rumänischen Schlächtern geht es wieder prächtig.

Die Vögel bauen eifrig ihre Nester,
vergessen scheinen die Qualen von Silvester.
Bald schlüpfen dann die Jungen aus den Eiern,
das ist ein Grund, mal wieder ordentlich laut zu feiern.

Endlich ist der Frühling da,
die Natur ruft laut „hurra“, „hurra“.
Die Blumen blühen in allen Farben,
doch die Bienen fehlen, es gibt nur Schaben.
Ich atme ein und hole ganz tief Luft,
da ist er wieder, dieser Monsanto-Duft.

Plötzlich kommt ein großer Igel an meinem Liegestuhl vorbei,
da höre ich auf einmal ein riesiges Geschrei.
Die Stare haben dutzende von neuen Jungen,
und das wird natürlich laut besungen.

Doch etwas fehlt mir hier in meinem Garten,
nämlich, dass die Flugzeuge aus Tegel (Berlin-Tegel: TXL) nicht mehr starten.
Ich vermisse dieses laute Turbinenbrummen,
zusammen mit dem netten Bienensummen.

Endlich ist es wieder flauschig warm,
da höre ich plötzlich eine Art Alarm.
Ein Rasenroboter vom Nachbarn rast heran,
und schneidet mir in den Zeh,
ich wünschte, wir hätten wieder Schnee.

Der Zeh blutet und plötzlich bin ich noch voller Zecken, (iihh!)
tschüß du lieber Liegestuhl, ich muss mich jetzt schnell retten.

Nun humple ich mit Sonnenbrand durch´s dunkle Zimmer,
und die Zeckenbisse werden rot und täglich immer schlimmer.

Oh je! Oh je! Autsch! Aua! ……Oh je!

J Holmes Aka "The Flamethrower" was born in Zachary, Louisiana on May, 10. He moved to New Orleans, La in 2000 where he got his first taste of Jazz music. Shortly before hurricane Katrina in 2004 he moved to Fairfield, CA. California was where he got his first taste of the West coast music world. E-40, Too Short, Mac Dre etc. In 2012 J Holmes moved to the Dfw Texas area where he resides now. Coming up as a kid his main rap influences were Method Man and The Wu-Tang Clan, 2pac, Scarface, Nas, DMX Cash Money and No Limit Records. He raps with a very unique cadence and he is a very versatile MC. His music is filled with substance and sharp metaphors. He can ride literally any track and doesn't disappoint on his features. He also has a blog published in Gienus. J Holmes can hang with many of the best lyricist in the rap game and has a major respect for the Hip-Hop craft and its pioneers.
