This was my final assignment for my Intro to Computer and MIDI music class. As you will hear, the song is comprised of 3 different sections each with it's own style. I was inspired to write this song and based it's structure around a tune by Carol King called I Feel the Earth Move. As you will hear, the 1st section is taken directly from the original tune with MIDI piano, bass, drums and guitar. This was my 4 piece rock band section (i played all the parts my self on a weighted MIDI keyboard). Eventually the song segues into more of a Trance-style. In the 2nd section you will notice I added some unique synths, bongos, and heavier bass. The chords to the 2nd sections are directly stolen from the bridge section of Carol King's I Feel the Earth Move (thanks Carol). Finally I wrapped it all up by attempting to create my own "drop section". Thankfully I have a friend Jesse who knows how to create white noise (i.e. the build up) which "drops" into a dub-heavy synthesizer. The funny thing is that this 3rd section happened like 2 hours before the assignment was due. I needed to meet a time requirement and all I did to accomplish that was copying and pasting the original piano sound from the 1st section and to a  dub-heavy synth track.  I added some hip-hop/trap drums and aux percussion to make it interesting. Hope you enjoy.
